Agreed, let's keep our focus on the game. It's easy for people to talk up their game, we know what we're capable of, there's no need to go trumpeting it from the rooftops to any tired old weedge hack who'll only put his own spin on it anyway.
Keep the midfield tight early doors, Pallardo, Gomis and Buaben can run the show. Hibs will play a narrow game in an attempt to smother our creativity in the middle. This is where Walker/King/Nicholson will be key along with Patterson and Eckersley.
As county says, if Hibs come to attack, we'll have a very open game and that'll suit us down to the ground. There could be a few goals in this, but i'm sticking with my original prediction.
2-0 the Famous.
HHGH!!!

I'm looking forward to an excellent game of football. An open game will suit us as much as it suits you. Any attempt to overdo the physical side will be bad news for the team that starts it, so we'll be playing the football, it's up to you how to respond. We should be looking to put you under pressure early on and score when we're doing it. That'll encourage you to come out and leave us the spaces! Hearts 1 Hibs 3 would be a perfect start to the New Year - not a big enough win to dent your confidence for the rest of the season, just enough to give you a reality check.

Are you seriously talking about TRYING to draw us out and make us attack you? Your talking about a team that has scored 46 goals in 18 games? We don't need anyone to draw us out. We play out from the back naturally at pace. I agree you should try and put us under pressure early though. Only Sevco at tynecastle have done that but then they blew it by getting over physical. Im never confident in derbies because they are such one off events, and to many factors come into play. So I will take what ever happens oan Saturday and move onto the next game. We usually win derbies primarily because your lot don't turn up and bottle it, but I suspect you will turn up on Saturday. No one other than Celtic has scored more than one goal against us. Maybe you can let's see.

I must admit, i'm not quite getting this either ritchie. Up to us how we respond?? We'll come out and play football, from the back, same as we've done all season.....It's up to your lot how you respond. You beat a VERY poor Sevco team last week, don't get too carried away son, my granny's 5 a side knitting bee would have given them a run. We'll all reconvene around sometime late Saturday and have ourselves a wee look at the table, see exactly who's dealing with reality.

Well done, lads, you've all responded in exactly the right way. An early attack and you've come out fighting. You'll be hoping the Hearts team will be able to do the same, I won't!
PS It's a long, long time since I was called "son". I'm feeling good about it. Long may it continue.

Truth be told Ritchie , to a man I am sure if we lose to your lot this week us Jambo's would agree that would not be all bad . As it would mean MUCH more pressure for Sevco with you lot stickin yer schnozzes up the crack of their rotten asses. We would all agree that it would be much more fun next year if the Hibbees could come up along with us and leave the great unwashed where they belong for at least another year. As long as we lost by putting up a fight and not being blown out we could live with that. We all know that your day in the sun would only last until the next Derby anyway! HHGH

Hearts 1 Hibs 1 - to be honest, Hibs should have won, and were the better team. The bottom line is that we don't score enough when we're on top. Hearts never give up and all credit to them for that, but Hibs started well and finished well in a typical frantic derby game.
