I know we both have upcoming fixtures first
Hearts v Motherwell Kilmarnock v Hibs
But has there been a more potentially toxic derby so early in a season? Can one or both give themselves a shot in the arm before this game or will it be another disastrous weekend prior to the game?
Thankfully for both we have a weeks break for the internationals, which we normally canโt abide, but for once gives both clubs a chance to re group.
Early prediction now while on the international break 0-0

According to my auld man the atmosphere will never be as bad as the 70s but it's getting more toxic season after season. I will be there to sample it though.
0-0 sounds about right.

I agree the animosity was worse back then between both sets of fans, I was referring to the the atmosphere between both sets of fans and their respective managers / head coaches to be honest. 4 league games into a season and both sets of fans are in uproar with their teams style of play, results and generally respective boards / management. We both probably wonโt have time to goad each other with the barrage Hecky and Levein can expect from their own fans.

Not sure this derby is toxic dav. Toxic was the Mercer years. Or some of the vlad derbies including the so called relegation derby. This one is just both teams below expectation. Could be a shit derby but I dont see it anymore toxic than usual.

Don't be silly guys, Hibs will win 2-1. 2-0 up with 15 mins to go and the Tarts will get a consolation.

The way we are defending I couldnt see us winning a donkey derby. I'm pretty certain we will score at ER but our defending is beyond woeful.

Problem is we cannot score many ( if any!) at present . We will be patient up to the box with some pretty passing and then no final ball. Your Japanese loanee looks sharp so I can definately see you scoring . (As per norm you will probably be too physical for us) It will actually make for a fascinating game ( if not the best quality lol) but still cannot see anything but a Hearts win.......will give CL more time.........as he says "he is going nowhere".

Please no Hearts win. We need to get rid of him and us winning will scupper those plans! And no . I am not kidding. As the bad results pile up the club must act....sooner or later and sooner has long since past.

Hibs 3 league defeats have been away from home. We're still unbeaten at ER for what it's worth. I fully expect that still to be the case after the Derby match. GGTTH!

No way Iโd want to lose any match especially a derby, whether or not Hecky is the man to lead us onwards, 1 win would only be papering over the cracks, heโd need to show more than that for me to be won over.
