Starting bid should be £3Million. Fact! Wait a few months ffs. If so what does that make Shanks worth? Rocky money? $10 million? Best you can hope for is about what you are getting given his injury history etc. With add ons you might get a bit more. If he stays healthy. In other news. Word is Boyle wants out too. Again! You lot have a massive recruitment ahead of you this summer.

Just heard rumblings that he had been caught (ahem) playing away. So could be an uncomfortable situation with he and his wife playing for the Hobbits. Needs a fresh start. Of course could be nothing to it but just keep your ear to the ground for now😉

Not a problem, now that Wee Lee has got Haaland lined up... www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/how-hibs-boss-plans-to-use-city-football-group-links-as-he-reveals-change-to-loan-signings/ar-AA1ciAQaHe does like to talk, but given there has been one player from one of the more lowly teams in the group, who played 15 games in total, its a bit early to say that there is a sccessful linkup there! more of an argument that with Will Fish there is a successful deal with Man U is there not? Certainly from a Hearts point of view, players coming from big English clubs in recent years have been really disappointing, Pareira, Mitchell, Randall and Smith-Brown, so while it sounds exciting the reality can be pretty poor. I cant actually think of many loans to Scotland from those teams which have been a huge success? Patrick Roberts, but Celtic paid for that, Leighton Clarkson was pretty good for Aberdeen, many others? On the plus side Hibs might get Jamie Mclaren on loan from Melbourne, or Greg Stewart from Mumbai.

From the South London News
Millwall land Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet
Millwall are set to announce the signing of Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet.
Reports in Scotland have claimed the fee is £2million but the South London Press understands that the deal is much closer to the £1m mark.
Nisbet had been set to sign for the Lions in the January transfer window only for the switch to break down.
He is Millwall’s first business of the summer.
Nisbet’s form for Hibs since returning from an ACL injury saw him recalled to the Scotland national team recently and they have Euro 2024 qualifiers against Norway next weekend and then at home to Georgia.
The 26-year-old Glaswegian has scored 39 goals in 101 matches for Hibernian. He was highly-prolific at both Raith – 34 goals in 46 games – and Dunfermline – 23 goals in 32 outings.
But both the player and Championship club always remained keen on the transfer.
Nisbet flew in to complete a medical at the end of the week.

Looks like Nisbet is done £2m plus future add ons, so time for the club to spend (not just Youan) Similar to their announced crowds of 16000 when actually coser to 8-10000, 1.2 million equates to 2 million in Hibbee speak. 🤣

It’ll be £2m with the add ons tk be fair.
Which includes him being the champions league top scorer, playing over 3000games and singing soprano at the last night at the proms. So cash in the bank for Hibs.
So really hubscwill get about £750k once Dunfermline get their slice.

And by all accounts they have spent that 750k on Youan ( before selling Nisbet) plus I hear they are redoing their pitch this summer ( not before time) so where is the money for that coming from? Oh aye. Selling Boyle. Again! Talk about robbing Peter to pay Paul!

I doubt Boyle is worth that much to be honest. 30, on the back of a serious injury, the fact he is their top earner, and everyone knowing he wants away, it’s not a strong hand for Hibs.
A bit like Sow for us, they found the right buyer at the right time to get a decent fee. It’s unlikely to happen again. If they got £750k they would be doing well. Given they haven’t finished paying the Saudis back then it doesn’t come to a lot. But it would get him off the payroll as he will be a big earner.
