I hear you ek, but the trend is an obvious one. Celic coach Ange, Lewis Miller and Jeggo at Hibs, I never mentioned Boyle as that's an iffy one but i think the Buddies have a few Aussies and of course you mentioned the Tarts do (3/4 i think) As do several EFL clubs too. Come to think of it a few Euro clubs have started bringing in some of the Kangaroos too.. Aye but Ange never brought any Oz players as far as I know, they were mostly Japanese guys, a country where he had previously managed. Can’t say that Miller and Jeggo have been roaring successes and the jury is still out on the Hearts socceroos, particularly Rowles, who was weirdly handed. 5 year contract and at the moment is worse than a man short imo

The last time around Gray was happy to be getting experience, now with his testimonial dinner due he probably has been happy to stay out the spotlight, if he’s happy coaching then no issue but if he wants to manage in his own right and has all the badges then now is probably a good time for him to try, but a word of warning look at the jobs Robson and Naismith are doing being promoted from within, the next league match could be a make or break (el sackio) for either of them.
Runners and riders
Montgomery looks favourite just now with reports, he’s had a little success well thought off but does he know the Scottish game, certainly not the usual name in the merry go round.
Lennon I’m 50/50 with, he gets Scottish football and a complete winner and would rile up Sevco and Hearts fans. He left last time on a bit of a cloud and also has his issues, maybe we can do without the circus he provides.
Brown not set the heather on fire at Fleetwood although they are a basket case financially at present and current at a level where they will struggle to go higher. Knows Hibs and I’d say hungry for success maybe a shout.
McInnes knows Scotland but his style won’t suit our players or fans although he’s probably the safest name it’s a no from me.
Robinson was my favourite from those who know Scotland as he’s worked wonders at Motherwell and St Mirren and knows how to set a team up, would he leave gamble and the Paisley hot seat for Easter Rd?
Gray knows what he would be getting into, is he ready to step up?
Others may be in contention, the board need to be careful but any appointment is a gamble but will get my backing.

League One side Fleetwood Town have appointed former Hibernian boss Lee Johnson as their manager.
The 42-year-old joins having been sacked by Hibs on 27 August, following a slow start to the Scottish season.
Johnson replaces Scott Brown, who left on 3 September after five defeats from their opening six league games.
"We are delighted to attract someone with the calibre and record of Lee Johnson - we see it as a real statement of intent," said CEO Steve Curwood.

You’re trying dry hard to dismiss Hibs as a shite club, without much success I may add, a bit like your team tbh. You’re going back 23 years ffs with your analysis. During that period, HMFC achieved many European qualifications, a runner up place in the Premiership , played in qualifiers of Champions League (unsuccessful) and won 2 Scottish Cups. Also won two Championship titles- remind me how long it took the mighty , all star silky , playing the Hibs way, your wee diddy team , to get out of the Championship- don’t fret, I’ll tell you son- 3 attempts. Time to get back in your box or just fuck off to Hibs.nut. You just need to wise up that your team is utter shite. Ffs, bringing Neil the Lemming back, now that is really progressive. Now, now Ek, don't rise to the bait, you'll give yerselh a hernia... off topic but isn't catman's new font colour so much better and easier to read that that green shite? Well done, hfc, a good decision!

Maybe LJ has found his level after Hibs and Sunderland.

Good luck Fleetwood! Maybe LJ has found his level after Hibs and Sunderland. Mibbes aye, mibbes naw. I'll give him to January... Fleetwood are at their ceiling in my opinion. After so many promotions they failed last year to get promoted and believe they are in financial bother, staying in League 1 is the best they can hope for, for now as they won’t sign loads of players in January

You do wonder what (all) manager applicants say in response to the 'why did you leave your previous job?' question. The Board didn't back me, the demands were too high, I had no say over signings, I needed more time etc? And what the interviewing board must be looking for that his previous board weren't seeing? Obviously the manager has to sell himself in an interview but facts are public and allegations can be easily checked.
By the same token, the boards gushing over the fantastic qualities of new managers are presumably saying 'unlike the guy we've just sacked who told us he did have those qualities but didn't'.
I blame the Boards btw, can't blame a manager with an anticipated lifespan of less than 18 months for bigging himself up in an interview.
