After the last year of watching mostly dire Scottish football you could all do yourselves a big favour and try and get a feed to watch today’s MLS Cup Final between Toronto and Seattle. It is a rematch of last years final and I feel pretty confident there will be some outstanding footy to be seen. Watch out for my favourite player ( Michael Bradley) although canjam dislikes him for some reason. He usually controls the game and almost everything goes through him at some point. Suffice to say it will be a much better spectacle than anything we have seen on offer coming out of the SPFL in a long time. Game starts at 2pm my time or 9pm GMT.

Toronto wins it 2-0 with a last gasp goal to seal it. Seattle never really had a look at Toronto's goal the whole game except for a wee spurt in the last few minutes before Toronto scored the second due to their pressing for the equalizer. As I predicted a much more enjoyable watch than SPFL. Some great passing and individual plays. As a kind of neutral it was a great spectacle. Although I live much closer to Vancouver, with Bradley being my favourite player, I think Toronto is my team (but that is as far as it goes canjam!). Again Bradley was very influential yesterday especially on the first goal as he started the breakout on the counter which they scored from. He also had a peach of a volley from about 25 yds that unfortunately was straight at the goalie. I should look at the foul count as it is my feeling there were no where near as many as we would see in the typical SPFL game. The ref really let the game flow and did not stop it for every nudge or wee shove. Sebastian Giovinco of Toronto was flopping all over the place and the ref for the most part told him to GTF when looking for fouls. Good game by the official IMO.

You are right Bobby. After watching the Motherwell game, the final was like night and day for entertainment. Bradley has won me over. His play through the second half of the season and the play-offs has been outstanding. I agree about Giovinco. He is a great talent but "falls down" way too much and moans at the referees all the time. He drives me up the wall. Anyway great win for TFC, Second championship in two weeks for Toronto (Argos) and Leafs just beat the Oilers again. Life is good.
