Well, it's that time again where the domestic league takes a back seat and the international games become the main focus. Thankfully Scotland are still in with a chance however we are looking for some favours and even if we get a favour in the Germany Ireland Game I fear that he Poland v Ireland game might end up a dead rubber if they want it to be...........
We beat Poland (I know its gonna be tough but certainly possible) and then Germany beat Ireland, that wins Germany the group and leaves Ireland and Poland only requiring a point each in order to qualify, however............... if Ireland manage to beat Poland that send Poland into the playoffs and Ireland straight through so do Poland want to risk that? I hope not. I hope they go for the jugular.
We only need 4 points from these 2 games providing Ireland lose both theirs so we don't need to do anything stupid in the Poland game unless we get wind of Ireland causing an upset in Germany. I guess we need to try and win both games. that goes without saying but we have to be careful.

aye both on form, both dangerous, know where the goal is. get them in. I suspect becuase Stephen flecther has scored his 6 monthly goal last week, he will justify a start up front on his own with Forrest, McArthur and maloney kicking about in behind and probably Brown and Darren Fletcher holding

Not overly confident about this match TBH. Might sound a bit pedantic but I would dearly love our football team to show the same passion as our rugby team in singing flower of Scotland- Ffs some appear to not even know the words- playing with pride and passion for your country can often bring out that wee bit extra in a performance and be just enough to make the difference between winning and losing. Just saying like ye ken.

Maybe they don't know the words because half of them (exaggeration I know but you get what I mean)were not born in Scotland ek.

I don't think there is the same passion from players nowadays with regard to representing their country as when we were young ek. When you see how many of them pull out of the squad before games due to "injuries" I have to question the desire. Can you imagine a Jim Baxter, Denis Law or Billy Bremner not reporting for anything less than having a broken fuckin leg?

That's exactly my point. It should stem down from the management that these guys should feel honoured to be representing their country, it's not just any old game and if that was instilled in them, then that in turn passes onto the supporters and gets them fired up also to get behind the team. If fans see their idols right up for a match, it definitely adds to the atmosphere in the backing of the team. Problem nowadays seems it is too easy to pull out the squad but hey ho, ye get back in the next time .

I fear we will be the only Home Nations side not at Euro 16. We've probably left ourselves too much to do - again. Still, while there's hope...

Those are the points that are the differecne between qualifying and not.

Is that Marshall/Hutton in goals? I'd go for Marshall. Actually. I'd go for Gordon as he's a shot-stopper and I have a feeling we'll have a few shots to save tonight unless we can keep them in their own half.

Slow day at work this week. Should check the satellite listings and see if the game is on over here.
Just checked. It is on but delayed . starts 3.00pm local. (10 pm GMT) So will know the result before it comes on. Hate that! Irish and Portugal games are live though.
