Saw them in Edmonton in 1978. Their heyday. Think I will go doon to the Hotel California tonight for a bevvy as those voices are calling from far away. In fact they woke me up in the middle of the night!

Every pub band on every holiday plays Hotel California, can't get away from it. Class act but didn't I read their tour a few years ago cost over 1,000 quid a ticket (actual price not touts' prices)?

True 19. I was in Mexico a few years ago and the mariachi band that was walking around the restaurant played it with some random English guy doing lead vocals. It was exceptionally good considering it was an impromptu rendition. I myself have been known to give it a go once in a while with my pal doing harmony,on the karaoke machine at parties!

Fantastic band. I too saw them at Murrayfield and Hampden. Also saw them at the Apollo in Glasgow back in 1977. Cost me £2.50 for a seat in the upper circle. Probably the best line-up at that time. Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Don Felder, Joe Walsh and the incredible voice of Randy Meisner. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WmixcxzjvA

Ha 2.50 to see the Eagles. Mind you, that's what it cost to watch the European Cup Final that year and a pint of beer was about 25p so that's erm... 10 pints of beer to see the Eagles. About 30 quid today then (not 1,000)?
