As a neutral watching the game I feel the hurt of Scots on coming so close as my Wales had done the previous day. Scotland were lucky they found Australia in such benevolent mood gifting the Scots 3 tries by shocking decision making. That should not take away the fact that on TV replays it appears that it did in fact come off a yellow shirt after the knock on so the second infringement by the Scottish player should not have counted and so in theory was a scrum for the knock on and not a penalty for deliberate offside. Australia would have had the put in at the scrum and who knows what might have happened....... This was only proved by slow motion replay from 3 different angles and at full speed it appeared that the ref may have been right. People started to cry out why didn't he refer to the tv official.......but he couldn't as it is only allowed for the scoring of a try or whether a kick has gone through the posts. Scots say he was quick to ask the tv official when yellow carding the Scotland wing in the first half but that was viewed as a try scoring opportunity and if it had been deliberate slap down would have been a red card and a penalty try.So it turns out it is one of those referees, umpire etc genuine mistakes that a few years ago would have gone unnoticed prior to all the slow motion replays we all enjoy whilst sitting in the comfort of our armchairs....it makes being in charge of a game very easy. So where do we go with tv replays and do we allow all decisions to be questioned. In the first half at Exeter in the World Cup the first half took 62 minutes instead of 40 and as I said that was purely for tries or kicks. Do we bring more replays into football or carry on mocking charachters like Collum or the ref who gave us a penalty at Falkirk last night! More tv official replays would help Collum et al to get more decisions correct but does football want this?.......or are poor refereeing decisions part of the game we get used to and enjoy when it goes for us and cry murder when they go against us!.......I remember a certain Leigh Griffiths freekick a couple of years ago which would have won the derby, I'm quite sure the JT's on here enjoyed it immensely!

One final point about the game was with Nicola S. there on Sunday I'm surprised she didn't demand another match and then continue until the "right" result was obtained.
