It's amazing marketing but complete shit that a league with teams like Bournemouth, Burnley, Brighton, Stoke, Swansea, West Brom, Watford etc has a 5 Billion pounds contract and the SPFL gets 2 Million a year. Leicester reckon this year will make them 175 Million. That's 80 years earnings for the SPFL winners and around 200 years' winnings for Hearts - assuming we finish top 6 for the next 200 years. Even the team that finishes bottom of the EPL gets 75 Million plus 50 Million parachute payment. It's hard for me to get too upbeat about the future of football when Doncaster is selling the league rights for 2 Million and drawing 250k salary. Didn't I read the other day that Norway gets 180 Million a year from tv rights? That's 90 times more than Scotland, FFS. A bit off topic I know but pisses me off that Leicester can work hard and win the jackpot whilst we are doomed to picking up scraps as we go along. K19, those are crazy numbers. It is all about product on the park and we don't have one that includes all clubs. What we have is the opposite, one that works for two clubs and excludes everyone else. Until that is fixed nothing will ever change and nothing dynamic can happen. We've said it on here before, turkeys don't vote for thanksgiving (to use the local colloquialism).

Until we have some visionary coming up with a workable format for our game I just don't see it improving.
Everything is geared up for the Uglies. What..... we had a steering group who took two years to come up with an idea that we called our leagues the same as England call theirs. Now that is out of the box thinking.
We need to get punters through the turnstile's. I can see more clubs going bust then who will the uglies have to bully. If Killie go down I would be surprised if they survive. Other clubs like Hamilton and Motherwell can't be far behind.
It always amazes me that on Sportscene they don't discuss the dilemma of empty stadia. It doesn't take much to see it is killing our game.

In the meantime buy any decent local talent and have them sit on the bench. Easy peasy, who needs a development squad when others have one ready made to steal from.

Just watching footage of Leicester fans kicking off in Madrid and singing about Brexit and Gibraltar......combined with the treatment of Raneri, lost all the neutral support now surely?
