Well done to the Chicago Cubs for winning the deciding game in the World Series 4:3 against Cleveland coming back from 1:3 down. The final game had to go to an extra innings with Chicago getting the deciding run to take the series for the first time since 1908. Their fans all started to go down to Wrigley Field ( game played in Cleveland) and started to write names of loved ones on the walls who never saw this day.........how we know how they feel.......ain't 2016 a great year. 4:3 third time in lifting the trophy and last minute win....that reminds me of something Go Cubs GGTTH

Sorry Newhaven but I can't be even a little bit arsed to have the remotest hint of even giving the merest smidgeon of a phuque. Rounders pah! I suppose that makes them world champions?

Everyone to their own and not so much about the game Dedrok but more about the achievement within their sport. Lifting it for the third time in their history after a 100 year plus wait......again reminds me of something.......
Now what odds would their have been on a triple for this, Hibs lifting the Scottish Cup and Leicester City winning the EPL?
Agreed I have never seen how they can call the winners "World Champions"....daft.

NH, it was a good game. When the covers came out at the end and the thought of a rain out at this stage was unbelievable i imagined a game finishing tomorrow, but the Cubbies pulled it together. A collective sigh of relief could be heard here in Oakland. A bit as you rightly say like what happened last year. The US needs a lifting story right now being in the worst mudslinging nasty election I can ever remember. Oh and the Cubs beat the G Men in the playoffs so that makes it all the better to be beaten by eventual Champs.

Back to the easy decisions now Heart......Trump or Clinton? You must be getting used to being beaten by the eventual champions.
