I love the golf in Thailand: reasonably priced, courses immaculate, have a laugh with the caddies (normally) great clubhouses and cheap food. I played Laem Chabang yesterday. Actually stayed in the lodge and played a night game on Sunday followed by a different 18 holes on Monday morning. Hard to fault that and looking forward to playing Siam Country Club on Wednesday.
Anyone experienced golf in Thailand and knows of anywhere better?

Perfect time of year for that BB, I had the pleasure of playing Mid Ocean In Bermuda, it was against 2 other players who had a handicap of 3 or less, safe to say it'll be the last time I let the ringers tee off first

The one and only time i ever played golf i was doing reasonably well.......... until i got to the hole with the wee windmill on it, do you think i could get the ball up that wee feckin ramp without hitting one of the blades?? Think again. Completely ruined my scorecard, and i said as much to the guy at the hut when i handed my putter and ball back, total waste of £1.50.

Perfect climate year round IMO. Played with a few ringers in my time as well. Played with a young aspiring CPGA pro about 8 yrs ago on a championship course.. I had the pleasure of talking him round the course as he had never seen it before. He shot a ho hum 68. Me? Feckin 98 with an eagle on my card! Quite a humbling experience I can tell you.

Played the Plantation Course at Siam today - lovely course but greens almost unplayable. 10.8 on the stint but there were no level greens! Playing Siam Old Course on Friday, I am told greens are more traditional... Let's fecking hope so! St Andrews 2000 tomorrow promises to be an experience...

Be careful playing golf in Thailand K19. You may find a flagpole where you expect to find a hole.
