I just checked to see if the report was from April 1st!!. You sometimes wonder when people do research and surveys what they look at ..........or who pays them? For a while now, not just this season, they have been poor on the ice and certainly in the Boardroom and ownership. ( many fans disgruntled at this aspect and they make Rod Petrie look like Alan Sugar). Many ex fans who stopped going to Murrayfield many moons ago must be having a good laugh at this report. When you consider the modern facilities and good teams such as Nottingham, Sheffield, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff et al it still poses the question......Why Edinburgh?? The stadium is so antiquated it could be classified as dangerous ( all wooden, narrow seats and able to get underneath......memories of Bradford ) but since only a couple of hundred ( on a good day) go now if lucky and not the 4k implied , it doesn't pose such a risk. I enjoy going to the Ice Hockey and will continue to attend and support the Capitals, if they are still going next year. There is talk of a new regime and management ideas so we will have to wait and see what the new season offers and even if they are in the Premier League still.......not a given after this past season........fortunately no relegation but it depends on the Governing body who is in. Go Caps Go

Just looked at last year and Caps have dropped 5 places.......shock, horror Not so good for Braehead Clan who appeared in the list last year but now are nowhere to be seen.

It must have been an eye opener for you when in Tampa recently N.H. And they are not even a “traditional” hockey market. I get the feeling it is like comparing the Premier League to Scottish 3rd division or something along those lines.

Correct Bobby.............my second team are Hereford FC ( United as was ) and they have been reformed by fans ,post Tax-man, and now play in the 7th League of English Football and it is like comparing them to EPL sides such as Newcastle United.
As you say they are not one of the traditional sides but the game I saw was fantastic and like chalk and cheese when compared to the Capitals.
Incidentally it looks like Tampa won't go much further this season( on present from) and will have to see how they play v the Bruins this week. When I saw them I thought they were fortunate to get the win and didn't play that well but the game day experience, as is always the case in USA, I will always remember.
ps: 7th tier maybe but they took over 1000 fans to Redditch yesterday.......a few of our SPL sides would like that following especially as they are only now in their 3rd year of existence.

If they claimed to be they were not . Those that are have n9 need to claim they are. As for Flame# fans being alright? You surely are a bad judge of character!😉

Funny old game .........as Lightning beat Bruins 4.0 Would have been a good atmosphere in the Thunderdome and Thunderbug would have got them rocking

I have said it before N.H. There is a lot of parity in the NHL due to salary caps and the draft system. It stops rich owners / better supported teams etc from buying or attracting the best players. Mind you for the life of me I cannot think where that would happen nowadays..........🙄
