What a change in conditions from Day 1 to Day 2. Hard and dry yesterday, softer today. I'm watching it but not getting excited yet. I can't see an obvious winner, Kisner sinking some great putts but just found water as I type. Rahm drove out of bounds. Rory in the clubhouse at -4. Speith is scrappy off the tee but recovering like Seve. Tiger and Mickleson even par so maybe too much to do. Everyone playing safe to avoid mistakes but it's there for the taking if someone takes risks (cue Rory, Mickleson, Woods and Fowler). Could be amazing next 2 days or could just be people imploding with a 'boring' player coming through on the rails. Tony Finau?

The golf has disappeared off my radar now it's only live on Sky. Highlights package at night once I've followed online what's happened during the day leaves me cold. I know the R&A are happy with the TV gold they're getting up front but for me it's not a good thing for developing the game in the long run.

SkySports coverage is superb, information given by pundits / experts is the best I’ve seen. Camera work (close ups) showing why golfers are making mistakes is now at a different level. Agree regarding costs though.

Better than watching it on NBC this weekend. Can't stop bloody talking. Same with commentating on football, shut up!
There were a couple of commentatorballs moments this weekend tho. "Ah a few bad shots all he needs to do is shake off the misses" . Mrs Oak looked right over at me a said when I have a bad shot do I consider shaking off the Mrs (Missus)? Or my favorite today "they look like to two peas in a pot plant". I had to replay it a few times to actually hear "two peas in a pod plant" somewhat misquoted but if they said bugger all it would have been better.

I think we get the official European Tour coverage in Africa. Dougie Donnelly, Thomas Bjorn, Mark James and Dale Hayes seem to be the main commentators. Thomas Bjorn is as boring as hell - how he can motivate the Ryder Cup players is beyond me. Mark James has a good sense of humour but jokes ALL the time and seems incapable of making a serious observation. The other two are good enough to carry the show. The SKY team were always good (David Livingstone etc) but I don't see them any more. Nothing however beats BBC (Peter Alliss as anchor and Ken Brown out on the course). I'd imagine a dream team would be Livingstone, Harman and Critchley in the studio, Donnelly and Alliss sharing the main commentary with the likes of Ken Brown, Mark James and David Feherty out on the course.
