You can only play what's put in front of you and so far, Hearts have played better than any other team in the league- fact, hence the reason sitting on top of the crop. Fully expect to still be there following Haloween unless Hibs turn up dressed as Barcelona- doubtful , more likely to turnip as the usual tumshies! - see what I did there?πππππ

They'll not be dressed for a relegation party, they've already tried that one and we all know how that ended up.

I hope the new crop of players "get it" and go into the derby with a determination to win

I am confident Lennon will get a reaction to the loss at Darkheid, but I hope he goes back to the flat back 4 and brings Porteous back in (if Hanlon still out) for McGregor, tinkered to much last week and need to go back to what was working before Saturday. Letβs also hope Gray and MacLaren are fit to play from start.
My team Bogdan Gray Ambrose Hanlon (Porteous) Stevenson Boyle Milligan Hyndeman (Horgan) Mallan MacLaren Kamberi

Having watched todays mauling at Murrayfield, the only concern for Wednesday night is the Tarts physicality. I've no doubts that Hibs are the better football team but we are going into they're back yard and it's gonna be a tough game for both sides. We have a slight edge in that we didn't play at the weekend so let's see if Hibs can make the most of that. The Cellic defeat will have taken something from the Hertz i'm sure but then again it is a DERBY!..
GGTTH! AS ALWAYS......C'MON THE HIBEES!

Tiny never been a happy hunting ground for us and expect those that play for Hertz to be wounded and up for it as per usual from Potterβs tactics. Do I believe in all those injuries from yesterday? No chance usual Jambo spin to try some gamesmanship but time will tell.
Hibs must win the battle first and earn the right to play, if we do then all will be good, but Lennon on occasion has got tactics lineup and formation wrong in the bigger games, like the first half last week v Celtic, or Tiny last time out. Might help if Zibby Zlamal chucks one in like yesterday, but really we need to be physically up for it and use width and pace as that certainly is Hearts weakest areas, although the narrowish pitch wonβt help.

I think the players coming in have to view this as can opportunity to nail down a place in the side. This is to be the worst injury situation I can remember but excuses don't count. This is a derby, the remaining pkayers need to buckle down and get stuck in.

Spot on Dav. Too many Hibs fans reading too much into Hearts loss yesterday and their injuries. ( we will find some will be fit by Wednesday). This is a derby at Tiny and they will be really up for it no matter who is wearing the maroon shirt. Lennon has to get the game plan sorted from the start........unlike last week! Having seen their keeper he looks good so I expect we have seen his howler for the season so cannot rely on any gifts there. I also find when we have had time off without a game we tend to be a little slow and sluggish at the start so hoping we are at it from the first whistle this time.........they will be hurting from yesterday and keen to put on a good show. GGTTH

To be fair it's not that bad in terms of numbers, but it's like a sniper working through a list of our most important players. will be interesting to see who provides leadership this week, Smith, Lee and Maclean all very important. Can Maclean play all of these games in a row?
