Seems I might be having the age old issue with my Hearts TV this year. It froze on me 4 times yesterday and when I switch to back up player or back to Primary player it would start up ok again. Very frustrating. I might have to review things going forward if things do not improve. Any other expats having similar issues? I have about the best internet available and hook into the hardwired connection (to eliminate wireless issues) when watching Hearts TV but still have issues.

I like the FireStick as a cheap device option -- if you have a newer TV that supports HDMI-CEC then you should also be able to control Fire devices with the TV remote and use color buttons on there. I use Sapphine Secure IPTV on my firestick ( www.firesticktricks.com/sapphire-secure-iptv.html ) which I consider to be really great.

Question for all of you who have IPTV like me. Should I or should I not use the VPN included with it? My provider told me I don’t need to because I am in Canada (for some reason). MTS says he uses his all the time. I am confused. If there is no illegal content on there then why would I need to use a VPN? As I understand it if you are watching a broadcast that is free to air then it is legal. If it is a subscription based channel / programme then you should be using a VPN cause “Big Brother” is watching us all when we are streaming and might come knocking on our doors with a big fine. Or is it me just being paranoid?😂

As I have my Broadband with Sky my IPTV provider insists I use VPN all the time as they actively search for people who are illegally watching their subscription channels. Sky also remotely switches on a broadband shield to stop you accessing a VPN which I remove. VPN just gives you a false IP address so they’re unable to trace to your router. If in doubt I would use the VPN.

I am interested to get some feedback from you boys that like me have IPTV. For the most part it has been great. When it comes to the fitba’ anyway. There is the occasional glitch where it will freeze or lose sound ( not every game) but for the most part it is good value for money in that department. Where ( and maybe I am being nitpicky here) it seems to fall down for me is when watching movies or tv series. Lately it has become frustratingly unwatchable at times. Constantly freezing ( buffering?) etc to the point I just shut it off. I also have an Amazon Prime subscription which works great. Never had an issue. My provider says most of the problems I seem to encounter are due to slow/bad internet speeds/connections. I upgraded my internet to the highest speeds known to man and am still having problems. Imo it has nothing to do with internet speeds or why would my Amazon tv be working perfectly? Are any of you having a similar experience to me? I understand it will never be perfect but this having constant issues is a bit grating. Also wondering if your service is or seems better who you are with and when my subscription expires maybe I will try another provider. I know MTS and I use the same provider. How about the others? Which services do you use? Look forward to your replies.

My provider freely admits that they were set up mainly to provide EPL games. Most of the rest of the programming is superfluous and is just there to make up the numbers so to speak. Admittedly the football coverage tends to be excellent. I like watching my hockey over here and despite having around 6 or 7 different channels to choose from I struggle at times to get a consistently good feed of my hockey teams games.

I don’t seem to have the same problems as you Bobby and I spoke to my son in law and he’s not got any problems. Have a word with Dave on the Discord app. Maybe he can logon as you and run a test.

The problem is it is very inconsistent. I will be watching a movie or tv series and sometimes after only a minute it freezes then comes back. Sometimes it takes half an hour then freezes. Very frustrating at times. Been watching the Sevco match and it has been first class. ( the service that is😂).
