I'm looking at getting IPTV and tried a couple of free trials last weekend. Reviews are mixed for all of them so I was wondering if anyone out there has any recommendations. More likely those living abroad. I've been able to get all I need but there's no EPL on at the moment so I can't tell if the sports channels buffer during big games or not. I'll probably go for a 1 month subscription unless anyone tells me they've had a reliable provider for some time. Any genuine tips? PM me if you don't want to discuss this in public.

I've got a Firestick and a guy gave me a code to put on it. Get IPTV through that. Got everything, Sport, Movies, etc etc. Not had any buffering issues. Had it since April and the deal is £50 for the year

Had it since April and the deal is £50 for the year Maybe I should get a couple of firesticks instead of a couple of android boxes? I was thinking HDMI works better than wifi. Could you ask your guy if the code would work overseas and if he could provide m3u codes for android boxes? I'd rather use tried and tested than fanny around all year until i got something I was happy with. I just want BBC, ITV, Golf Channel and Sky sports and I'll be happy

I'm going to see if the IT market has a fire stick today and I'll get back to you for the code if I am successful Maroon. Meanwhile, after my round of m3u tests and trials, my verdict is Helix IPTV and Tivi app seem to be good. Tivi is FAR better than GSE IPTV and Perfectplayer (really does knock spots off both of them and I suggest anyone using these 'tv browsers' tries Tivi) and Helix sorts the channels into the order required for UK/USA/Canada users without having to scroll through 35,000 channels. Together they are looking excellent but it depends on t'interweb speed of course.
Signed, Mr Digital.

Would something like this mean I could ditch my $200 / month cable package or would it just be an addition to it? Got 2 years left on my contract so cannot ditch it right now but maybe in the future.

$200 a month? FFS I was complaining about $100 a month in Africa for a couple of dozen channels of shite (Sony tv etc) plus some live football which I rarely watch. Yes, I suggest you get a trial and see if it suits your needs - I am paying $6 for a month and watched Fox Sports, CBS, Sky Sports and BBC1 over the weekend (none of which are available to me normally). I haven't tried watching during a peak event yet (e.g. a sunday afternoon EPL game).
Btw, this provider says it's got Hearts tv and all other major scottish clubs, not just the uglies but also Sheep, Partick, Raith etc. Only during match time so I haven't tried that yet but I'd be able to tune into every scottish teams' live broadcast? - Surely not, this can't be real, can it? I would assume this means some shitty internet stream if available, but all the other major links I've tested work so maybe it does have the scottish club links???

Been reading up on it a bit and lots of complaints re EPL games due to constant buffering. And my $200 / month also includes home phone and internet so not as bad as at first glance. I did notice that they has Hearts TV and all the other teams on their listings too. Some people said if you are buying it for sports......forget it. Someone also said that during the free trial it worked really well but after signing up the buffering started and became unbearable.

I need to look at something like this. I am currently spending around £100 on sky sports ( through now tv) and BT Sport. I have an Amazon Stick but not sure how it applies to watching sports.

My IPTV lists all the Club feeds as well but tbh I've never tried to watch one but from what I gather it's only match day stuff that's shown. Still waiting on my mate getting back to me with details of how he can fix you up K19, he's been over in Ireland watching Hearts. DrJ it's an Amazon Firestick I've got....guy just gives me a code to enter after you download an App and away you go. Like I say I've had it since April....never had a bit of trouble with it

I got a firestick at the Indian market on Sunday and it's fully loaded for life with "everything I ever need". I think he meant anything you ever need if you like Indian and Pakistan tv, but it's not everything I ever need. It's got some sports (Sky/Bein etc)on it and I could survive without anything else but I'd prefer a wider choice so, as long as I know how to add stuff to the firestick (no idea how to do that), I'll still go for Plan A with Maroon. I suggest Drj and Bobby send a PM to Maroon for firestick code info

This week I watched Sevco tv, Celtic tv, Falkirk tv and Hearts tv. All perfect, no buffering/cut off. Also got Aberdeen tv, Hibs tv etc although most are only on for match time so I've not tested those. I get 4 or 5 golf channels, 100's of US and UK sports and movie channels, and all the BBC, ITV, Alba etc which were blocked with BBC Player. This weekend was the first chance to test it during EPL matches and it was perfect. If an English match is not on sky it'll be on somewhere else (e.g. Fox or BeIN sports). The programme guide tells you what's on for most channels.
I recommend signing up for a month's trial - 7.50 Euros for either UK or US packages or 9.50 Euros for both. That's less than the cost of Hearts tv. You don't need a VPN as the service does not depend on region (waste of money unless you live in China or North Korea).
Maroon recommends firesticks but my android box plugs into my smart tv via Ethernet which I prefer to using wireless where possible. I also got a fire stick preloaded with all the free internet apps such as Mobdro, Redtube tv etc but those are not as reliable as paying for a good provider (almost impossible to watch a big match or find a small one).
The joy of using a fire stick/digibox for those who travel a lot is you simply plug it into the tv in your hotel room and you're up and running.
I've tried everything over the years to get good tv and I've learned the only solution is to pay for a good service - just don't pay the tv companies. You need good internet, tho, and that's only just become available in East Africa.
