Welcome to Salt ‘n’ Sauce. As a site we don’t really have any hard and fast rules other than the golden one: ‘Don't Steal the Charity Money'. No, wait a minute, I meant 'KEEP IT CIVIL'.
We haven't had a single problem in the past and we don't expect to have any here - this is just in case anyone is wondering what the rules are
For those who need net etiquette spelled out in detail, please read the following:
The most important rule of all: treat other members with courtesy. No bullying or unreasonable behavior. This means NO direct name-calling of individuals, aggressive behavior, threats, personal insults, concerted aggravation and trolling.
Forums exist for pretty much anything you may want to chat about – your club first and foremost but also anything on or off topic that sees your mind wandering. Please try and keep your threads to the appropriate forum as much as possible. WUM threads can be created, but it is at the discretion of the moderation team whether they are retained or not. Please do not create WUM threads that are designed to upset, cause an argument or create conflict. Joking is fine, abuse is not.
Swearing is allowed, but in moderation. Expletives are part of most folks vocabulary, it is how you use them that matters.
No multiple accounts unless cleared with a moderator prior to creation. If any unconfirmed multiple account is suspected then it will be deleted and the originator will be warned.
Spammers will be deleted instantly. Links to other sites are allowed. However any post that the moderation team feel has been created to undermine Salt ‘n’ Sauce may be deleted with appropriate action being taken against the poster.
The moderators of the site are clearly identified in their profile plus they have bells and whistles against their name. Whilst they are all experienced site moderators (Ex 606 and the old SnS Site Admin), they are also posters just like you so don't feel picked upon if a Mod starts badgering you and don't be afraid to tell a Mod he's a knobber if he/she acts like one. Just keep it nice. If you do something genuinely wrong, you will get a private message from a Mod and you can discuss the issue in private..
Moderators will not seek to justify any decisions made on the boards in public (e.g. if we close a thread or merge two threads together), unless there is a broader need to do so. If you have an issue with a moderator’s behaviour or any decision, please feel free to either message the moderator in question or any other member of the moderation staff. Please do not argue with any moderator in a public forum about a decision they have made. Your moderators WILL make the wrong decision every now and again, so much depends on discretion. But we will try our very best to be fair.
Fans of both teams are welcomed and encouraged to participate on each other's boards and it is hoped that good-natured banter will thrive but please try not to aggravate posters or situations.
Thanks and enjoy the site
