we dont know that Mcphee is a levein clone however I suspect he is more of a coach than a manager. personally, I think it has to be fresh face to.implement a programme of change. One of the things I liked was when Levein said a few years back "we need to work out how we want to play and whst our identity is then implement it at all.levels throughout the club" Brilliant. Only he never ever did it. there was no "Hearts" way. it changed week to week. I do want there to be a "Hearts way" that we play home and away against Edinburgh City or Celtic. I don't mind if it is set in defence first mode, although not ny first choice, but I want it to be recogniseable that, that is how we play. Punters then make the call on whether they want to watch that or not.

Without question it had to be done, should have been done before this. We need a new face to light a fire under the players arses, my choice would be Robinson or Holt.

If they bring in a guy with little or no past connection to our club does any of you think the rest of the management team will get culled? I see no need for the amount of hingers oan we have on the bench when compared to the benches of other teams. I think we are overloaded in that dept. Just my thoughts

I am not in favour of any of the current Coaches taking over or ex players, we need somebody new with experience to get us going again. I hope Budge does not draw this out any longer than she has to as she did last time before plumbing for the soft option which was Levein. This is going to cost money but its a crucial appointment she has to get it right we cant afford another managerial failure following Cathro/Levein. I hope we see a new man in the dugout for the St Mirren game.

Any one of neilson, Sergio or Robinson would be okay by me.
Some of the higher profile names like O'Neill, moyes or allardyce would amount to a gamble as far as I'm concerned.

Did O’Neil not turn us down previously? Plus I think he has a good thing going already. Why would he risk that? Neilson? By the end of his tenure we were not unhappy to see him go. Boring back passing, side to side slow paced crap football was being played . Lest we forget. I think he jumped to Milton Keynes before he got pushed out the door imo. Sergio? Been there. Done that. Although must say I would welcome him back should he get the job. Robinson. Would be interested to see how well he could do with the budget we have at his disposal. Not sure how this will end up going but it is going to be interesting.

Wasn't always pretty but he was tactically flexible and we could always compete, regardless of opposition. Sergio - is your argument purely that he's already been manager so therefore that rules him out? Weird.

Neilson could be a good shout. No to Paulo.
Would prefer someone not connected with club

After all he did manage us to one of our greatest ever victories.🤙 Just would prefer a fresh new outlook with little or no previous connection to the club.

Correct Bobby, won the cup against Hibs and able to motivate players that weren't getting paid. It won't be him though.

I think my only stipulation would be no promoting from within. Not convinced they can tie their shoelaces at the moment

Right now my preference would be Stephen Robinson, if not then Jack Ross. Interestingly, I actually met Shelley Kerr last week (who is a big Jambo btw!). Really nice woman, fantastic knowledge of football - wish I could have chatted to her for longer! (To help me with the team I coach if nothing else!!). An appointment like that would fair set the cat amongst the pigeons!! 😁 Note current odds have Roy Keane appearing from nowhere...

interesting that Elvis isn't even quoted. I wonder where Keane came from.
