I think it would be good to push the boat out a bit and go for a higher profile manager. No disrespect to guy’s like Robinson or Big Tam fae Perth who have both done excellent jobs considering their budgets.

Moyes would be incredible.
Let’s push the boat out big time.

I'd have Ross or Robinson over Ranieri or Keane any day. What makes anyone think either of them would know anything at all about Scottish football?! Keane played here for 5 minutes, and even then it was Celtic so barely counts (plus he's a knob). Moyes would never happen in a million years.
We need someone experienced who can motivate, but who can also set up a team properly and not just play hoofball. Most of all, I want someone who wants to be at Hearts, not someone who we can just about stretch our budget to afford. This is an amazing job. A brilliant club, infrastructure, stadium, fans, income, squad (if fit), the list goes on. Whoever comes in needs to feed off that!

Ranieri? Dont laugh. Hes been interested before. Indeed he has been. If we could afford him it would be great. Can we? We have a lot of money and no debt other than paying our current owner back.

Which is exactly why we should not hire someone who is used to Scottish football - because they are all garbage.

We have to be realistic Roy Keane etc are pie in the sky, Robinson would be the man for me, according to Football Insider Hearts are about to approach Motherwell for his services armed with the £120k compensation fee.

Robinson was recruited by Well having no experience of Scottish football.

But if we want to actally win things then we must do better.

Junior, getting to third would be an enormous achievement at the moment plus cup runs. There is no way we can compete with the old scum in terms of transfer fees, but building a long term plan and team may give us a chance to compete in future years. Just think where we are now , small steps this season would be for me third. You might have noticed in my comments I was not talking long term just this season we have to set realistic targets and any body who thinks we can make up 20 points on the old scum must be living on cloud cuckoo land

Also I would hope we would never go to the lengths of the tax dodging gits and go £30 million in debt and pay £50 million in wages just to try and beat the Tic

In all honesty given our current position I would settle for a top six finish come May.
