I'd have Ross or Robinson over Ranieri or Keane any day. What makes anyone think either of them would know anything at all about Scottish football?! Keane played here for 5 minutes, and even then it was Celtic so barely counts (plus he's a knob). Moyes would never happen in a million years. We need someone experienced who can motivate, but who can also set up a team properly and not just play hoofball. Most of all, I want someone who wants to be at Hearts, not someone who we can just about stretch our budget to afford. This is an amazing job. A brilliant club, infrastructure, stadium, fans, income, squad (if fit), the list goes on. Whoever comes in needs to feed off that! Well argued Bamjo but youve kind of contradicted yourself . Robinson was recruited by Well having no experience of Scottish football. Not so much the point I was trying to make. What I mean is we shouldn't be wowed by a big name manager just because of who they are, I'd be much happier with a lesser-known like Robinson or Ross because we know them as well as they know us.

In all honesty given our current position I would settle for a top six finish come May. My thoughts exactly. And that is not aiming low. Just being realistic.

Just watching Us v the tax dodgers, when the camera panned into Steve Clarke.... I wonder!

I feel for the next manager. The confidence is so low, their faces in perth was as if their where lost, didn't have the mentality to fight anymore, same to day. Injurys all over the shop. Lots of players needing punted. No real spin to work from.
Big big task.

Smith and Naisy for me might be the only pass marks today. A bit harsh by me maybe but that is how I see it. The rest are wage thieves.

If the rumour is true and we have officially made an approach for Robinson, should we get him, or whoever we get, needs to clean out the coaching staff that are left. Today there was little attempt to get forward. Only shot in first half came after Uche came on and we went route one.

Whoever gets the job, the fans will have to be patient because the majority of the players on the park today are not fit to wear the jersey. Signings will have to be made in January.

Hearts "could not have given any more" in their Scottish League Cup semi-final defeat by Sevco at Hampden, says interim manager Austin MacPhee.
Well, if it wasn't clear before it certainly is now: he will not be getting the job. How can he make a statement like that? The performance was insipid.

The 5 year plan has fallen apart. We need to get rid of McPhee, fox , Daly and half the team a complete fresh start

I hope the new Manager is installed sooner rather than later, we badly need new ideas, a new approach and somebody to sort out the attitude out of many of our players. The current Coaches can move on as far as I am concerned albeit that throws up financial implications. The Club has been under performing since Cathro was appointed (Levein was the catalyst for that disaster and should have walked with Cathro). In addition to that I cant get my head round Levein staying on at the Club until the Summer, how awkward is that especially for Levein himself??, better to just pay his wages each month and send him on gardening leave.
