Wonder what coaches will be on the bench with Danny boy on Saturday I'm waiting for the club announcing that Levein will be there to mentor Daniel "into the New Year".

AB...AM is showing him around, how things work etc, etc. Things clearly don't work round there, he's a big boy and sure he can figure it out without being prejudiced by AM and CL. They really need to get to...

As long as he doesn't tell how to run the club and just shows him where everything is we will be fine, forget about CL folks he really is just in the background having no effect on Danny and his plans😄😄⚽️😄

CL will have no further involvement in the playing side of HMFC, at any level. I think AM will be around for a good while yet but he will not be in the dugout.

Thankfully, I have never supported another team but I do wonder if other clubs have fans as fickle as ours. I swear, if we won the champions league our fans would complain we might not win it next year.
Just let the guy come in, do his job then lets see where it takes us. He doesnt strike me as being shy and retiring. If he doesnt like the set up he will let AB know.

There's not a lot we can do but let him get on with his job but the bottom line is he's publicly stated he wanted his team in and they're not. We don't know why but I hope he does as he's going to be asked at every opportunity by the media guys.
We may find out why at the AGM on Tuesday as someone will definitely ask the question.

From the BBC
Stendel revealed that he will work with reserve coach Andy Kirk and goalkeeping coach Paul Gallacher but that Austin MacPhee, Jon Daly and Liam Fox will not be part of his first-team backroom staff.

Hopefully that kills all the talk about him being forced to work with coaches he doesnt want. He is no wall flower he will speak his mind. Interesting to read that his methods arec starting to take hold with the players already.

For me the retention (for now) of Levein etc is surely down to finance.

Been thinking. Can the gegenpress possibly work against teams that put 10 men behind the ball like St. Johnstone did on Saturday? Surely you need space to be able to use this tactic. The only time, with some exceptions of course,we had success pressing teams was against the uglies because they never park the bus. All other teams come to Tynie and get men behind the ball. It may work when on the road as they may have more of a go against us at home. The key to it working at home is to get at least a 2 goal lead so they are forced to open up. A 1goal lead still leaves them with the hope of nicking a goal and stealing a point which would be a good result all things considered. We need to work on dead ball delivery from corners and free kicks to get the lead. By the way. I am not claiming to be a master tactician. Just my thoughts.

Just my thoughts. you may be right BB. levein always said you couldn't play the high press against teams that come to defend and don't expect to have much of the ball. that is one of the reason why we have had SOME success playing Celtic Aberdeen hibs and Sevco it's the downside to us having a small pitch, defending teams find it easier to play against us.

We can gegenpress to our hearts content against the teams away from home then - look forward to that. I believe Leeds Utd use gegenpress and have had loads of success this season - although they let a 3-0 lead slip at the weekend to draw 3-3 so maybe a 2 goal lead isn't enough. I'd love a 3-3 draw tbh
