I ALREADY POSTED THIS ON THE "HIBS SEASON TICKET" THREAD JUNIOR, BUT IT IS INTERESTING FOR ALL FOOTIE FANS AND INDEED SPORTS FANS IN GENERAL. Indeed!
I'm not sure if she has this power of if that power is in our main parliament. Is it the case that Holyrood can legislate itself new powers? I doubt it but they may already have powers in this regard. Would be interesting to find out.

I dont think the weejie scum give jot about reconstruction. It has virtually no impact on them just so long as they get their 4 hate fests a year. I believe it is the smaller clubs who will go against it.

As far as I am aware, she does hold those powers and to be honest its hard to disagree with her ( sticks in my throat saying that lol). I have a feeling it will be September or October before a competitive football match will be played. And to be fair to Hibs, it could very well be that they have realised following Sturgeons comments that they would be in deep doodoo if we dont play until october, rendering any reconstruction redundant

DrJ, Hibs season tickets go on sale and there is a decent uptake early doors of just over 1500. The SPFL vote rears its head and Hibs have a choice- vote yes and lose £125000 by dropping to 7th place or vote no and lose 5000 season tickets at an estimated £2,000000 that's why they voted yes, fuck all to do with the good of the game. They need the cash as much as anybody. Da doo Ron Ron is a Yankee Vlad😉😉

I can honestly see no fans at sporting venues this year football will not be the same up here as clubs are going to perish, all these dates being banded about are pie in the sky, they may get to play behind closed doors eventually BUT any season ticket money won’t last long what then??

I honestly couldn't care less which league we play in, maybe better to lower our cost base in a lower league while the top league members struggle to pay their bills. Last time we were down I didn't even look at the scores in the top league, never mind follow any stories. Mind you, we had Hibs and Sevco in our league so why would we miss the top league?
What does concern me is the suggestion that the new Sky contract guarantees 4 Dodger Derbies per year. What if Sevco go bust again? Did we not learn from the last time (Armageddon)?

When AB cut salary costs early on, and was reviled for it, I have to confess I thought she had gone far to early. Perhaps it's now showing that as usual, in a business sense, she was spot on.
I'm not seeing anything sinister in the move to take Dempster off the committee for reconstruction, I'm thinking it is more the clubs owner saying she needs to try and find a way to get playing again sooner rather than later.
The issue around contracts coming to a end in May/June is massive. Clubs will most likely get the go ahead for short term extensions BUT,will they want to if we aren't back playing till late summer. If they extend the contracts there is the associated salary cost with no income coming in. If the clubs dont extend and let contracts expire, will they have sufficient playing staff to get going again when the green light is given?
I've no idea what the situation with contracts is at Hearts and Hibs but it could be a massive factor

In contract terms our issue will be that the longer ones are at a high basic wage and low bonus, whilst most other clubs are the other way round

If this goes on for a long time, we need not worry about what league we will be playing in as Scotland will be lucky to have enough teams to fill one league table.

If the season doesn't finish until September does this mean players can't play for new clubs until October? And if this drags on and clubs have to keep players sitting on their arses on extended contracts over the Summer, how will that affect budgets when clubs will have hoped to move people on at the end of May? Too many problems in my view, not to even consider keeping Levein and MacPhee on the payroll indefinitely...
