Not sure if I'm right, but is the first Scottish top flight club to furlough their playing staff? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52488726Just the start, methinks. And with likelihood there'll be no mass gatherings allowed for at least six months, possibly more, how long will it be before clubs begin to fold? This government assistance isn't going to last forever.

Not sure Parkie. I see they have sold 1500 season tickets, that is a high percentage of their total I would have thought, so fair play to their fans. Any idea how many we have sold?

MTS is yer man for that DRJ. Mibees a couple or three thousand. I think our sales are being effected by the uncertainty of what league we'll be in.

'Wells season ticket sales are certainly up on last year, and along with the furlough, that should help them balance the books for the next two or three months. But social distancing looks like it could be with us for some time and it's doubtful whether the government aid will be.
This will effect a lot of clubs and I fear we may lose quite a few.

I've just checked and Kilmarnock, Livingston, Ross County, St Johnstone and St Mirren have all taken advantage of the Job Retention Scheme for their playing staff. Can't believe Hamilton haven't.
You can also add Dundee Utd to that list. All of these clubs are now dependent on government assistance for as long as it lasts, but what then?

Not sure how many season tickets we’ve sold but I’ve heard a lot of fans have taken up Hearts new 50/50 split option. Half paid before 8th June and the other half in December.

I didn't know about that one. Not for me, It wouldnt suit my finances but a good idea. It may be better for clubs though. If they get that money in now, it gets spent then there is nothing left mid season.

I’ll be leaving mine until nearer the deadline just as a protest that Levein is still at the club. My platinum seat is only £290.
