Even the League 2 cap of 1.5million equates to about 29 grand a week or so.
I'd be surprised if even the Old Firm were paying more than 1 player this kind of wage.

Probably should read more than the first paragraph of a story, i just get easily distracted and bored very quickly. Not the best combination for a football forum 😂

It really is a smart way of doing business. It means that teams cannot outspend each other ( see uglies!) and practically buy success (see uglies). It usually means the best managed/smartest teams get the best results. Not the richest. But of course it would never work in Scotland unless the uglies agreed to pool all gate receipts with other teams and split the revenue. ( aye , right😉). Of course they could agree to a salary cap of say............10 million. That way things would remain the same. They keep all the money and can buy all the best players.
