Sky have axed Soccer Saturday pundits Phil Thompson, Charlie Nicholas and Matt Le Tissier supposedly for cost cutting measures. No idea if they'll be replaced with cheaper options or not but if Sky are that desperate to save, say £1m or so a year, is the near £1bn going to the Premiership every year entering its final days?

I heard that John Barnes could be one of the replacements.

I heard that John Barnes could be one of the replacements. John Barnes is quite good as a studio pundit, he's on a couple of those International syndicated football shows which cover live matches and are shown in Africa, Asia etc. Sky has remained 'old school' and its format has become dated. They have some catching up to do. BT rival programme is much brighter, more high-tech, much more vibrant, with younger pundits like Jermaine Jenas, Michael Owen and the like discussing/commenting intelligently. They have women who know what they are talking about and dont get flustered by the argumentative wankers like Sutton and Savage who constantly try to turn every show into a pissing contest. Jules and Mark Pougatch take turns presenting and controlling the proceedings. Both are excellent. If you watch Sky Saturday, you really should try the BT option. I still like Jeff Stelling tho - he deserves a new platform

I have no issue with females, or anyone else for that matter provided they provide good analysis which shows a deep understanding of the game. What I DO object to is anyone Who is on purely to cause CONTROVERSY or there because it is PC.

What I DO object to is anyone Who is on purely to cause CONTROVERSY or there because it is PC. People on to cause controversy would be Sutton and Savage on BT Sport. Pair of loudmouths. Despite that, I stand by my claim the BT programme is streets ahead of Sky Saturday. They have a good mix and I would imagine the Suttons and Savages they probably needed to kick things off will be the first to be booted when BT does its own revamp.
