According to Banderson he’s one game away from the sack at French Ligue 2 side AS Nancy

I am sure that if your boss stormed into your office and dressed you down saying you better do this or that by Friday or your gone, you would be really excited to show up to work the next few days! 🤦♂️

I really don't get what our fans saw in Stendell. He fxxxxxed up hugely at Hearts in pretty much every way.

I really don't get what our fans saw in Stendell. He fxxxxxed up hugely at Hearts in pretty much every way. He wasn't levein. In context he could have been atrocious and he still would have been better. And he seemed a decent chap. His positivity was a breath of fresh air.

I agree with the positivity bit Flat earth and clearly Levein had to go but Daniel did us no favours. He changed the style of play to a way that he didn't have the personnel to play. You cannot play a high press when you have 2 slow centre backs. Both centre backs were slow as a day in the jail. You can play one slow centre back with someone like Souttar who is quick but not together, high up the park. He brought in players in January who were not fit when any fool knows that when you are in trouble January buys have to be fighters who are ready to play.
His style worked against better teams but didn't against park the bussers who simply longballed us over the top of slow centre backs who played a high line. Tommy Wright for example loved playing against us

I agree with what you say but I think that's more and indictment of the muddled thinking at board level. Two lines of thought with this - leveins approach of 40 men behind the ball wasn't working so that needed to change. Morale was at an all time low so it needed a fresh reset.
However, stendel is the man you bring after you've had stability to enhance a style of play. Not the man you bring in for a relegation dog fight. Nobody really wanted to acknowledge that's where we were. Yes stendel could have done better but I wouldn't blame him for his approach, we knew what we were getting. That was even part of the appeal, a long term appointment instead of a stop gap.
Ideally, we'd have signed a pressley style manager with a seige mentality and some experience but that was levein esque. But I would have only hired that manager on the basis I'd be looking to move on from them once we were stable unless they over delivered.

Also, his fuck up and I suspect many people at hearts was to underestimate how much damage leveins tenure had done to that hearts team. That's not to say levein did it deliberately but he was left far too long in that position. Belief, confidence, hope was shot to hell.
