Former lead singer with Runrig has passed away after a long battle with cancer. While they may not have been everyone's taste, I was and still am an avid fan. When Donnie Munro left in 1997 to pursue a career in politics it looked like the end of the road for the band. After a year of fruitless searching, it came as a great surprise when Nova Scotia born Bruce Guthro was introduced as their new front man. Although Donnie was a hard act to follow, Bruce soon became a favourite in his own right, even with the hard core fans. I could go on, but allow me to indulge for a few moments. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouHH7GVrkTgwww.youtube.com/watch?v=BXInU1lTU64www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_Kw727GOnAwww.youtube.com/watch?v=QxydyQigqXgI was fortunate enough to attend a few Runrig gigs through the years, including these two in 2003 and 2018. Great times, great memories. RIP Bruce Guthro

RIP Bruce Guthro They could bring a tear to the eye, that's for sure (those songs don't really do it for me - although nice guitar - but Loch Lomond did it for a lot of people). RIP
