Surely the wee Scot’s can’t beat the world beaters in the English?

its a long time since both teams appear to be playing well and have a bit of confidence. Should be a good game.
We certainly don't have anything to fear, we are a bit better than when we played them in the euros, not sure they are. They do seem to have got rid of the prima donnas and play more as a team.
Will be tight, but Ill go 5-1 Scotland.

3-1 England Bellingham absolutely superb. Thought Bellingham, Foden and Rashford ran the show, Dunk was solid at the back and generally England didn’t let us play except about 15 minutes in the 2nd half in which time we did score and had them on the ropes but we needed a quick 2nd, it didn’t happen and when the 3rd went in it deflated everyone. England showed they are a top team and tactically Southgate called it right even though I along with many questioned 2 holding midfielders. As for Scotland the midfield (McGinn McGregor Gilmour McTomminey) never really took control whether it was because England never let us or they were all feeling the effects from Friday in the heat it’s hard to say, but they are our strongest midfield and deserved a crack at England. Won’t get to down as it was after all only a friendly 😉 and we have bigger fish to fry as next up Spain after they scored 13 in their last 2 games and will be looking for a bit of revenge.

Porteus played them onside for their first goal and Robertson's assist for their second would make a woman footballer blush but no denying that the Scotland team, like their rugby counterparts, got their arses handed to them. That said, as well as Scotland has done, we are seriously light up top. I can't imagine any other top 20 team is so limited that it is forced to play someone like Adams in the lone striker role. I'd say much the same about Dykes to be fair but at least he might win the occasional header. And no, I'm not suggesting Shanks would be the answer either but if we can't win things in the air, can't get the ball to the striker on the deck and we can't hold the ball up when we do get it, we are going to be in big trouble against the better teams. Fine to rave about the midfield and I understand not changing it last night but, when the better teams nullify our system, we need a Plan B and it didn't look like Clarke had one last night. As long as Clarke learns lesson, that's fine. There may be more lessons to be learned v Spain as well but we need to be ready to face the big teams in the big tournaments.

Scotland got rammed good and proper. It could have been 6 or 7 tbh. Now we got Lucky V Norway and Spain, no question. That's not a crime so let's make the most of the good times where qualifying for Germany next Summer should be well within our grasp. Let's not Fuck it up. Beat either Georgia away or win or draw with Norway at home will be enough. Forget the shafting that the Spaniards will give us next month ok, could be 3 or 4 but hey it's still in Scotland's hands. Forget the English ripping us a new one! they usually do.
