Might as well get this up early. Changes are needed and I can't see us being cautious over this one. I think the defence is better now and we have an attack minded coach so, in theory, we should be confident in this one. But of course we are not... We couldn't score against the diddy teams so I'm not confident we can score against the bigger teams - even if they do give us more space. Big games coming up thick and fast for Hearts so let's hope we get some points on the board to boost the confidence.

Kevin Clancy is the referee and that’s the problem with Scottish Football. He makes a massive mistake in his last match at Rugby Park (Kilmarnock score but instead of giving a goal he gives Killlie a penalty which they miss and lose the game 1-0. His next game is probably the game of the day.

Rumour on JKB that Cochrane has a serious injury (broken ankle) Hope it’s not true.

Thought i'd put a jinx on the Tarts by tipping them to win in my predo, but think it might be a draw here. Can't see the Sheep winning this one! (Ahem!).

It’s going to be all about the performance on Sat, the product has to be better to appease the fans. Players coming back from all over the world is a worry for me, a lot of travelling for players who have already looked tired. I am expecting a few changes yet again

Mark Donaldson said on the SATF podcast that Cochrane’s ankle is not broken but he’s on crutches and it looks like ligament damage.

As the pundits said and turned out to be accurate, win your physical battles and then play your football - exactly how it played out. Pleased for Rowles today, In a match where I feared he might get bullied, he was immense both on the ground and in the air. Great performance. All the Aussies did well to be fair, Cammy once again winning most of his battles. Forrest surprised me second half tbh as I thought he would be innefective against a well-drilled sheep midfield/defence - far from it, he looked up for it and caused them problems. Vargas almost scored but other than that he didn't do much (trying too hard maybe?) and Shanks didn't have his best game. I used to think Duk was a real baller but he was a niggly, whining, diving wee shite today and it was great to see Sibbick win his first couple of one on ones against him. Bookings were probably all deserved except Kent's which was probably Clancy making up for not booking him earlier when Duk got a head knock. All in all, a very good performance and result and the sheep downing tools for the last 10 minutes making it comfortably enjoyable for Hearts fans tho Sheep fans will probably be seething.
