The time is coming when a decision is going to be made. Some say it will be harsh on Clark to lose his place but I disagree. Two very similar keepers in my view - shotstoppers, dodgy on crosses - but Clark hasn't done nearly enough imo to make himself undroppable. An able enough deputy so no need to rush CG back but CG to walk into the team as soon as he is ready.
Thoughts?

I’m not sure Craig Gordon will be the same player he was before his serious injury. He’ll be 41 at the end of the year and out of contract in the summer. I’m also not sure if Hearts will extend his contract as he’s probably one of the highest paid players at the club. I think they will stick with Zander Clark until the end of the season.

I think Zander didn't help his cause today and Craig will want to go to the Euros (Clark has no chance of being Scotland No 1). If I was the Club Captain, I would be playing every game if fit.

I’d drop him for the next game with McGovern coming in. I don’t think Gordon is ready yet but we’ll see what Naismith does if he’s still the manager.

Don’t think we have any option BUT to keep playing him. When was McGoverns last game? Years ago I suspect. Asking for trouble if he plays imo. Edit: Just looked it up on Wiki. 2.5 yrs at least

No contest if Gordon is fit to be honest, although Clark has been a decent no2 the teams form dipped last season when Gordon got injured and has continued into this season.

Would be a boost if Gordon was fit but I do have doubts if he will return to his former form after his injury.

According to Naismith Craig Gordon and Craig Halkett are about a month away. Maybe not see them both until January.
