Window opens in 6 weeks. Don’t think we’ll bring any players in unless we move some on. Haring and Halliday are not playing and their contracts are up in May. Maybe we can move them on possibly on loan to save on wages. Offiah needs to go back to his club as there is something seriously wrong with this guy. We need a right back possibly on loan.
I think the priority is to offer Shankland a new deal and see if he wants to stay or leave. I’ll guess he will leave unfortunately.

We need another high quality striker for sure whether Shanks leaves or not. Oda and particularly Tagawa aren't (yet) showing enough and Vargas is useful but still raw. Boyce is a great no 10 but he's not a natural finisher so if Shanks isn't available in the short or long term we just don't have goals in us.

Been banging on for years about needing at least 4 strikers to get through a season, too many “so called versatile players” let’s get back to players who play in one position instead of round pegs in square holes policy we have adopted for too long. If Shanks is moved on we really do need to bring in forwards. Mind you we will get £8 million for Shanks won’t we 😂😂😂

We need a target man, a Sandy Clark, Mark De Vries, Ellis Simms type of guy. Somebody who’s going to scare the life out of defenders.

Stevie Wonder could see what we needed during the last three windows (and tbh, the last 30 years). Not that we should be bringing in yet another one of 'that type' during this next window but by God we had a good 'un in Ginnelly. I am fed up with useless lightweights like GMS getting brushed aside by journeymen pros from St Mirren, Motherwell, Livi, Killie etc etc - get us some muscle in the spine of the team who will at least put in some effort and put themselves about.

Ginnelly didn’t last too long at Preston, snapped Achilles but you’re right we miss him badly and we’ve not replaced him.

What about this for a target, not a great fan of loans but might be interested in a permanent deal 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Kevin van Veen wants to return to the UK and says six or seven clubs have asked about signing him on loan in January with the 32-year-old having fallen out with Groningen head coach Dick Lukkien only six months since the striker's transfer from Motherwell. Van Veen also revealed that there was interest from Sevco before his return to the Netherlands. (Scottish Sun)

Proven SPFL goalscorer even with limited service/chances at Motherwell. Hungry to prove himself at a bigger Scottish club. I'd be happy for a loan with an option to buy in the Summer.

How many goals does he have this season? Livi seem to struggle to score. Mind you the way they played against us they have no need for strikers. Edit: I Googled it. Answer? 3 goals. Ffs Hearts! Really? ??

And he is only 5’8” ffs. I know there have been some great strikers who were vertically challenged (Gerd Muller springs to mind) but usually a strike should be 6’ or better. How the fuck are we going to compete for headers at corners etc. Ir have we just given up on that? Probably getting bent out of dhape here for no reason as it is only a rumour………so far.
