First half II thought we struggled playing 3 at the back with Dexter playing more of a right winger leaving a big gap in the right back area. Both Dexter and Cochrane always hitting the first man with their crosses. The half time substitutions changed the game. Atkinson and Vargas for Dexter (poor) and Beni (injury)
Atkinson defended well and Motherwell just couldn’t cope with Atkinson and Forrest on the flanks. Another 2 subs improved us again with Tait and Oda for Fraser and Cochrane. Devlin came on for Hoff who picked up a knock and also played well. We were by far a better team when we changed to a back 4. Never seen the referee before and hope I never see him again.
3 points and a clean sheet

Oda was really up for this game when he came on. Aggressive in the tackle, taking players on, punching his fist to the crowd and looking extremely quick. Atkinson is a far better player than Lembikisa and has to start against Sevco. Macaulay Tait looks like the new Billy Gilmour, box to box, very quick, always tries to play on the front foot, times his tackles to perfection but knows when to take one for the team. Kingsley can play anywhere across the back 3 or 4 and is definitely on form at the moment.

What is the contract situation of Macaulay Tait? Is now the time to give him a 4/5yr deal?
Obviously its a risk as he could also be the next Harry Cochrane*, but if we dont andhe becomes a starter he will walk for very little as Hickey did.
*i dont think he will, I always thought Cochrane had a glaring weakness which was a lack of pace, he doesnt have any glaring weaknesses, albeit he is far from the finished article.

Pretty sure he's just signed a new 4 year deal.

Just signed a 4 year deal Dolf. Just reading on Twitter that he had 100% pass accuracy on Saturday.

Any one else notice our throw-ins on Sat? For years we have been terrible, giving possession straight back. Not sat tho, players over lightning quick and ball boys where ready and waiting, no fucking about, just straight back in to play with zero pressure from Motherwell and off we went. Never been so bloody happy to watch throw-ins before. Lol

He was so keen to take it quickly, it slipped out of his hands and ref gave a throw in the other way!
