Another dreadful performance last night, they were 30 seconds from "coming home". Shocking performance but now all the English are getting into a frenzy because Bellingham scored a spectacular last kick of the match equalizer (fair do's to him for that btw) and Kane put away a header that landed on a plate for him. Then they retreated back into their cagey, shitty, defensive shells and hung on against the world #52 team. Having failed to score against the World #56 last time out.
I was one minute away from saying 'I told you so' (or similar words) to all the guys in the pub but had to bite my tongue and pretend not to be interested. England should be better than Switzerland but not on current showing they're not. Will they finally get put on the flight home next weekend? Let's hope so.

They’ve also got the easier draw. Switzerland next and I would love it if they beat them. I’ll be supporting any team playing England.

Unfortunately, I have a sneaking feeling that with the half of the draw they are in and their good fortune to date, they will go on to win it now.

They are playing turgid football and scraping through with the individual talent they have. Its somewhat amusing watching the fans and the media dissect it whilst trying to support the team.
It's almost like football is meant to be entertaining.

They’re still talking about 1966 at this tournament. It’ll be unbearable if they win it. Imagine Gareth Southgate and Harry Kane with a knighthood and the rest getting MBE’s.

Unless they get unleashed, thats unlikely to happen; despite the easiest route to qualify and the easiest route to the final since erm Englands last competition.

This English team, imo, is made up of very good individual players but somehow just can’t manage to play as an actual team. I’ve watched them in tournaments for decades and I’m very consistent in that I hope they get royally pumped out. Here’s hoping they get their arses skelped by Switzerland and get sent home with a wee sample of Tobelrone. I’m not really bitter- honest- ach ok, maybe towards Engerland and the Hobos😂

If They get to the final, wonder how long it’ll take for them to start moaning about Spain or France getting an extra day rest

Hopefully they’ll run out of luck soon.

Sadly the other remaining countries have also underperformed throughout so they could actually win this thing, although not on merit.

Their 5 pens were all excellent but FFS how did they last to reach the pens - the Swiss missed three very good chances in the last 5-10 mins. Their shots on target/Goals ratio is almost 100% and that can't last. I expect the dutch to beat them but you never know...

Well it didn’t come home due to Southgate’s negative tactics. Well done to Spain for making my night.
