I never realised this but apparently there are, or at least there used to be, model owls in the corners of the roof in each stand at Tynecastle. They are/were obviously used to deter pigeons from roosting in the roofs of the stands thereby avoiding the inherent mess and dead pigeon carcass problem.
Does anyone know if these "owls" are still used or have the club indulged in a different solution to the pigeon problem?
I'm gonna be searching for the owls in the gorgie stand on saturday, anyone in the wheatfield or the main stand keep your eyes peeled as well, if they're still there.
