Have to admit I'd rather he hadn't said it. Obviously it is the target but vocalising it can only serve to motivate the oppo

I'm with Robbie on this one. He is emphasising to the players that he believes they CAN take 12 points from the next 4 games. I fail to see any club getting 'extra' motivation from this as I don't see 'extra' motivation being possible. Every club we play has the highest motivation to be the first to beat us not matter what Robbie says.

Nothing wrong with it. Saying 'I want us to go the season undefeated' would be stupid. This, on the other hand, is fine.
Setting the bar higher than one game at a time to change the mentality from challengers to winners.

But up until this point he has been one game at a time win this week don't rest on latest win, just move into next game. That is the right attitude. Of course we have a target of winning every game. To win the league we must think that way just don't SAY it.

Agree with folk who wish he hadn't said it publicly. Although it does bring back memories of 97 when JJ pointed out we had a run of 4 home games in a row in Oct/Nov. We won them all and stormed to the top of the league.

The media are now going to be bringing more and more pressure on our club. They will trot out "experts" who will say that "Hearts will go on a bad run and drop points" in an attempt to get Sevco title challenge back on track. This for me is Robbies way of pre-empting that for the players and saying there is an achievable target for them to got for. If we DO get 12 from 12 then the pressure on Sevco then becomes greater as the games run out. Smart stuff from RN I reckon

This is another clever piece of media work by the club, keeping things in context and allowing the players to show a professional and measured attitude.
