We're so so slow, zero pace.

Thought we deserved it but was waiting in the last 10 minutes for Hearts to poach the equaliser.........and Hearts almost did. Why do we make it so hard for ourselves in creating a lot of chances but failing to take any more. Why can't we break at pace........at times in the second half we had chances to break but only got one or two supporting players forward quickly , Hearts broke quickly at one point mid 2nd half and had 5 players forward to our 3 defenders......fortunately the through ball was poor and Ambrose made the tackle.......and promptly dallied on the ball and lost it again. Are we fit enough? GGTTH

No point blaming Stockton. I would take any of their 3 central kids. That's were we lost game. They were better team and if They were a good team tbey would have won by more than 1 goal I don't blame Stockton for us losing. I blame the club for signing a player who is several levels away from what we need. He is the worst amongst, I fear, several who don't have enough for us to compete. Bringing on a duffer like that when we need a goal, is like throwing in the towel. Our squad is threadbare when the 1st choice XI aren't all available.

Hibs closed players down in packs and came away with the ball more times than not. Bags of energy from them tonight. We weren't really at the races although we were much better second half and at least gave it a go. We'll get slaughtered in the media for that performance and rightly so but we had a few youngsters who probably found the occasion too much for them. I thought McLaughlin looked very confident in goals so there's one positive maybe. Officials did okay in the circumstances. I didnt see any incident with Lafferty but young Cochrane was lucky to stay on the pitch after a nasty foul near the end (which I don't like to see). Reminded me of Patersons foul on a Hobo 3 years ago - nasty and deliberate. Lafferty got away with a not so well disguised elbow to the mouth of their centre back. Ambrose wiz it. Did not catch it in real time but replay showed it quite clearly.

Haha so you didn't see hibs players strolling past our players time and time again. Made Efie Ambrose look like fucking messi. Tactically beaten all over the pitch, poor marking at set plays. Poor final balls. Piss poor defending... I mean how many times did berra and Brandon pass it back and fourth between them before playing an aimless hoof forward. Players WALKING to take a corner in the late stages of the game. No wing play. Easily pushed off the ball as support was few and far between in their half. Make no mistake if stokes was playing that would have been more.
So is that enough for you... or do I need to define worse than utter shite some more for you. Gary Locke and the kids showed more grit and balls that this lot!

Lafferty was quite..........professional in the elbow on Ambrose.......waited till the attention of the ref and crowd was on another foul and then did him. If seen he would have been off on the night and suppose he thought it may not be picked up.

Should really have won by more, midfield and flanks ripped a non existent midfield and slow defence to shreds.
K19 as for Lafferty he looked saw and smashed his forearm into Efe, but Dallas brought the play back to an earlier foul for Hearts. Cochrane lucky to only get a yellow. No2, no sure who he was on a yellow took out Boyle 2nd half could have been 2nd yellow but Isma got the card and nearly also got a 2nd yellow. Walker after getting final warning continued to foul away.
Now I'm not saying we were victims as our team stood up and gave out a few hefty challenges as well, but had Dallas done his job properly to protect the ball players in the first half then he wouldn't have lost control in the second half.
Anyway I'm away to bed to be ready to enjoy work in a few hours time.

Still alls well that ends well, 8 in a row and no sign yet of them getting close to us, we are now superior and have the mental edge that we lacked years ago, they now appear to have that monkey on their backs.

We are rotten simple as that we have a non existent midfield and if we are being honest we’d been as well playing with a back four and Lafferty infact we did play that way midfield is totally missed out ball gets hoofed up towards Lafferty and back it comes, we have not one player with a bit of guile Hibs pissed all over us.

The guru that is Potter's game plan for last night, defend for your life, foul to stop them coming forward, hoof the ball up the park as quick as possible. And to think I was worried beforehand, well I suppose Hearts might have got lucky and held on for more than 3mins and got a 0-0 or worse got a spawny goal via our defensive frailties, after our recent results dropping a few points I will take a 1-0 no problem. Certainly the worst creative away team to come to Easter Road this season so far!

That's pretty damning Dav, but after watching us on Saturday it was no shock to see it pan out that way, like I have already said we have a non existent midfield that's why we have to go long but there's no point in that because Laffery was isolated all night no one got near him in a maroon jersey to support him, there is no pace no creativity anywhere in the side, I now wish we had taken Sevco's money for Walker he is a shadow of the player he was.

We knew before the game that our midfield was not good enough, that’s why we’re playing laddies and players out of position. We just move on to the next game but nothing will change against Sevco. We’re battling for every point we can get as we’ve no quality or pace in the areas that can hurt teams.

Whilst thoroughly disapointing as last night was it came as no surprise to me, Hibs have put together a good squad a better squad than we currently have and that has been evident for some time. We clearly need to get some quality into the side come January if it is affordable. You have to think that spending millions on a new stand has limited our options in the transfer market if that's the case hopefully the situation will ease shortly. Its not all bad news we have some good youngsters coming through but they need to be augmented with some quality. Considering we started this season with one arm tied behind our back with these away games 15 points is more than I thought we would gather.

Hibs have done there homework well in the likes of McGeough,Mcginn ETC we have been a disgrace in the transfer market in comparison and it has fuck all to do with building a new stand how many players have been through our doors the last 3 windows??

I agree Fred Hibs have done there homework but the fact we are spending 12 million on a new stand must limit our options to a degree, look at the journeymen and short term thinking that has gone on.
