Should really have won by more, midfield and flanks ripped a non existent midfield and slow defence to shreds. K19 as for Lafferty he looked saw and smashed his forearm into Efe, but Dallas brought the play back to an earlier foul for Hearts. Cochrane lucky to only get a yellow. No2, no sure who he was on a yellow took out Boyle 2nd half could have been 2nd yellow but Isma got the card and nearly also got a 2nd yellow. Walker after getting final warning continued to foul away. Now I'm not saying we were victims as our team stood up and gave out a few hefty challenges as well, but had Dallas done his job properly to protect the ball players in the first half then he wouldn't have lost control in the second half. Anyway I'm away to bed to be ready to enjoy work in a few hours time. Last time I played footy you needed shots on target to score goals, so by that lodgic you should of score one more you mean.π two shots on target!βπ Still bitter much, check the rest of the stats, dominance doesnβt lie, glad the next game is at Tynecastle Park (supposedly) prefer playing football against your lot not rugby at Murrayfield!

I'd take utter shite to be honest.. We are worse than that. Lennon made levein look like a rookie tonight. Teams no their. Simples. Get a grip ffs- where is this 'utter shite ' shit patter coming from? We've lost a game to a decent Hibs team- end of. If Soutar makes a decent challenge instead of shirking it, game ends nil-nil, pretty sure many on here would have settled for that pre match! Lol, and if yer Ma never met ur Da we wouldn't be having this convo!...

Come to think of it, i don't believe anyone mentioned how No:7 (Mr Walker) escaped any punishment last night. He committed 3 fouls all over the park as was told off (pointed out where) by the ref who then did nothing and then nothing happened when he continued to foul during the rest of the game! .

I said after the match that was a terrible tackle and I agree 100% he should have seen red for that. The rear angle shows just how late and how deliberate it was. He should also apologise, he's young enough to be forgiven. The only consolation for der Hobo is that it was a wee laddie kicking him and not a grown up but if that had been the other way around we would be petitioning parliament for the Hobo to be sent to Guantanamo Bay. A shocking tackle.
Edit: Walker's tackles were not nasty and the ref over-reacted with his pointing to a total of erm two places. No booking merited there. Isma took a booking that was meant for Smith and that would have seen Smith red-carded, but that wasn't a bookable offence in my view anyway so no harm done other than Isma taking one for the team. Dunno about the 'Lafferty elbow' incident (I never saw it) and I guess the compliance officer can't get involved in the Cochrane thing because he got booked (even tho it should have been red).

No Stokes last night, didn't matter. No McGregor, didn't matter. No Swanson, didn't matter. No Fontaine, didn't matter. No David Gray, didn't matter. Goalie dropped from Saturday, didn't matter.
We controlled the game, dominated the midfield and should have won by more. The 1-0 scoreline flattered Hertz.....but it doesn't matter!
COZ WE WON.....
ggtth!. I am hfc and I approve this message!

Persistent fouling is always a bookable offence and he was a major culprit last night. But at least u were honest about Harry boy!

I donβt feel so bad now hearing that we were destroyed 1-0 by a team of superstars who had the unbelievable amount of 4 shots on target (twice as many as us)
The demolition of Hearts moved Hibs to the dizzy heights of 5th in the SPFL table and an incredible one point in front of their city rivals.
You can see why the Hibs fans are having multiple orgasms over this famous victory.
The DVD will be in the shops for Xmas.

I don't think Cochrane was a red although I confess it was a daft thing to do. Lafferty didn't "smash"your player but he did make contact and could have seen red. How Jamie got away with commiting 3 fouls after being told he would be booked for one more is beyond me and was simply piss poor refereeing.
These things happen though, some you win some you lose. When hibs played Sevco it was a miracle that stokes didn't get sent off so guys don't get too above yourselves. You won, you deserved to win and we have a long wait for the next one.

Don't agree about the Cochrane incident drj. Should have gone for that. As for Lafferty, he did come into contact with Hanlon before the other incident (not sure if that's what u mean) but as I never saw the Ambrose affair I can't say how bad it was. Yes it's true that players get away with all kinds of Discrepancies (check Sevco-Well at the weekend) and it's true that some u win some u lose. If ur a Jambo, December 27th is a long way away and I dare say our recent good run v Hertz will end at some point but hey let's enjoy it while it lasts!
Your friendly Hibby HFC!.....

It was the silly tackle of a 16yr old kid. Never a red card in a month of sundays. IMO

Hibs were the better team no doubt. Cochrane's tackle is a shocker and should have seen red. No wonder we're shite at football when we think that's an acceptable tackle.
I'm not entirely sure we could have done anything different last night given how terrible our squad depth is and the profile of the players we have.
Only tactical tweak I would have made was to man mark their midfield and force Hartley to play. Similar to what Murray did to soutar, forced us to give the ball to berra who's certainly no technician.
All in all, the result i expected at the start. Very worrying our inability to react intelligently though.
