Another Edinburgh side in financial trouble (there have been a few over the years) and also be lucky to avoid relegation ........if they survive as a club They have also had 2 forwards released this week who had to return home for personal reasons A couple of defenders are now playing as makeshift attackers. Having said that they had a good win on Sunday night against Dundee Stars, 5:3, ( and beat Coventry the week before) although it did help that 3 of the goals were scored whilst Dundee had 2 men in the sin bin! .........and both appeared to have a double, 2 minute penalty , although I and certainly the Dundee fans couldn't see why for the one player!!! They were not happy!! Two more home games this week and am hoping for good results which possibly could get them off the bottom of the elite league. Really enjoy the game and all the "antics" on the ice. Going to see New York Jets (my NFL side) next season so will be hoping to catch a Sevco hockey ( site doesn't like R a n g e r s ) game at the same time. Go caps go

Lots of other team in and around N.Y. Newhaven. Just in case the Sevconians are not at home there is always the Islanders or the Devils close by.

Pittsburgh might be a tough ticket. They have some of the best talent on the planet. Sid "The Kid" is top notch along with Malkin.

I did sort of guess that Bobby based on their present team and success.........still where there's a will. My wife always likes to support the big and best teams ......which is why she is a Hibs season ticket holder I don't think so drj......unless they are the cheerleaders?

Lol I think they are a wee bit past the age to be cheerleaders. In fact they very idea of Audrey being a cheerleader is scary lol. Back In the days of Tony Hand etc they travelled all over with racers and now they follow capitals but only at home.

Tony Hand came over here to try out for my Oilers drj. He was not up to NHL standard so they asked him to go back to Junior hockey to get used to the North American game. He took the hump and went home as he could make a ton more money playing in the British League than playing junior here. Can't say I blame him though. I think he actually won some contest they were having over there for an NHL tryout and he was supposed to go to the Calgary Flames for that but the Oilers did the dirty on the Flames by unexpectedly drafting Hand thereby making him their property. Tee Hee! GIRFY Flames!!!

Will be there about this time next year Bobby depending on when the Jets are at the Met Stadium. Will probably just try and get in to see one of the New York sides and see how the Penguins tickets are going......thanks for the link ............I invariably use Ticketmaster for the NFL so would always go there first although have used some other secondary sites for college football and the Baseball.May have been better to go at the end of the season when they are not going to make the play offs and nobody wants to see them...lol ( bit like the Giants in the NFL!)

Capitals lost 5:3 to the Devils tonight.....although Cardiff haven't started that well they are the current elite champions and so the score could have been worse. Well done to all the Cardiff fans who came up for the game......good show. As someone once said......went to a fight and some ice hockey broke out great stuff

Does not happen over here with a few exceptions. The only away fans that show up at games are ones who happen to be living in the city of the home team.

The reason college football is different is that the alumni are spread far and wide in the U.S Newhaven. Their pride in their alma mater runs very deep down there.

Agreed Bobby. Although we spoke to many who had travelled far and wide Miami and Hokies fans. We had a 4 hour drive to Virginia Tech and the number of fans passing us as soon as we joined the interstate was amazing. One hokies fan we talked to had an 8 hour drive there and then back. That night there were 78000 fans there and the best entrance of a side I have ever witnessed and been involved with......especially if you like Metallica and Enter Sandman......talk about bouncing...Hibs have nothing on them.
Apologies the previous post has gone into the ether!
