If Templeton could play for 90 mins then yes but he’s a one half man

Yet another whose career stalled by taking the Orange pound. I'd much rather have Slinky.

I actually like this guy, just not his age. But.... we need to bring the kids through. That is made more difficult if we are buying players in mid 20s who are first pickers. Sure we need some mid 20s, but older guys who can develop the kids is , in my view, the way to go. McLean is a very clever player.

Not too much upside with him playing. A bit like Hughes in that respect. But the intangible is what he can bring that will rub off on the kids which may turn them into solid pro's. Guys like him and Hughes do not get to their ages and still in demand at this level without having desirable qualities other than scoring or stopping goals. They are not your typical mercenaries chasing the money. Just my opinion guys.

Depends on your priorities I guess. If you are planning for the future then it makes sense. However, I think the majority of the support might want to see some competitiveness on the pitch given the amount of backing that's been given and I'm sceptical if he would help that.

The future is all we can plan for. There's no point in developing kids that we aren't going to play. I'm not advocating making all our signings like McLean but a fair amount if them need to be if we want another Robertson McKay Bowman etc era.

You wouldn't go to war without a General commanding the regiment. He is not a front line soldier but has been there and knows what it takes to get where we want to be.

If true on Olly Lee, that IS, for me an uninspiring signing. 27, good age but has done very little. Not a goal scorer, would he hold one of the kids back?
