It seems to me that the SPFL can do what the fuck they want and no matter how unbelievable and ridiculous their behaviour is, we all just have to put with their lies and subterfuge.

Your absolutely right NH, we will survive, not because of the size of our fans base (Sevco died) but because of the loyalty of our fan base. But is that what they depend on, they do whatever they please because no one has the ability, due to crazy voting rules, to question the process.
For me this is no longer about Hearts being relegated or demoted. That is a temporary situation.
This is about lying, subterfuge and corruption in a sport I love by people who couldn't give a fuck for anything beyond lining their own pockets and fuelling their own ego's And..... worst of all. There is nothing I can do about it. I cant withdraw my support as, only Hearts would suffer, it would have no impact on the SPFL.
So ultimately I have to just accept it. That goes against the grain for who I am.
I’m with you DrJ, sickened by this, I very rarely go to away games so boycotting wont have an impact.
I do think that Dundee had a change of heart after they knew they were in effect the king makers. A farcical situation brought about by announcing the votes before they were all cast, who has ever heard of that before? It is crazy and opened up the opportunity for coercion, albeit that was possibly the aim.
In terms of calling the season, clearly the Sky tv deal is the main driver, they are basically going to protect that at all costs, as much for the clubs as the bonus Doncaster will get for it. I do understand the drive for clarity from some clubs, and again I have no issue with those voting against, it is the underhand nature of all of this. If Dundee are allowed to change their mind, then surely others are too and we could see this go on for the full 28 days. Im sure Dumbarton said they only voted for it because they felt they had to to get the money, now loans seem to be an option they should look to change.
One other driver I think for this is that many clubs will be on the verge of administration, if they don’t call the league you could end up with a situation where a club who were 3rd or 4th in the league sitting top of the pile if they need to call then in July or August. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few admins happening the day after this decision is made. Dundee United for one are not in great shape and could really be struggling. I would find it pretty funny if they did go for admin and Dundee would have been promoted off the back of it if only they had the balls to vote they way they want to, not the way they are bribed to.

I’ve said to before and I’ll say it again - we should seriously consider the creation of a British football league.
The money involved from TV alone would see us be in a totally different position. Scottish football is diabolical in part due to the SFA and also due to There only being at most ten serious teams.
I hope we do this right throw some cash behind the right man, get rid of the dross and seriously punch a hole in every team in that league and remind them that they voted for this and the top fight will always just being in touching distance and just a dream for many, they didn't want change! As for the prem we need to start living up to the size of the club. Let's put teams back where they belong as we rise above them never looking down, because teams like Hamilton st Mirren even Livingston are on borrowed time, sooner or later they'll be back down and we'll remind them they voted for this, could of had a 16 team league where they would comfortably fit into.
Teams like Aberdeen Dundee Utd hibs, they can enjoy always being invited to the party and even leave with a party bag but it will never be their party, players will continue to be hand picked for celtics bench or reserves on order to keep the balance in place and when every penalty or every red card against them playing Sevco or cetlic get awarded they can be reminded they voted for that.
I will never except any celtic fans claim to this title or 9 in a row. I will not sympathise will any decision giving against clubs voting for yes against the big 2. My answer to all people moaning about Sevco and celtic and spfl will now be your club sold you out, solid its soul and vote for this, and you agreed. Shut up and get on with it.

It's pathetic. Scottish football in its entirety. To link back to what drj said earlier, they rely on our apathy and loyalty to clubs to just put up with it.
It's part of the reason I begrudge going to some hearts games. The relationship between a club and it's fans relies too much on the emotional appeal. Under Anne budges leadership, we have made major strides off the pitch to improve things. What the fuck have the spfl/SFA done in that time?
The spfl is meant to be a members run organisation. Why does it act as if it's some sort of mafioso the club's have to run to for help? You need our help, well here it is with strings attached.
This brings me to accountability, where is it? The media are far too cosy. Listening to chick young fawning over the BBC's own coverage was sickening.
There is no avenue to change the status quo. Closed shop.
Just saw this Tweet from the BBC, back to you Doncaster
Partick Thistle say they have received legal advice that Dundee's retracted vote should stand, meaning the SPFL's resolution on ending the lower-league season fails.
