Game 4 tonight. Oilers got off to a great start and jumped out to 2-0 lead after 1 period. The second period saw the Quackers come storming back to take a 3-2 lead going into the third period. It was 18 mins and 42 seconds into the period when the Oil managed to get a deserved equalizer to send the game to overtime. I am going back to watch the intermission show then the first overtime period. Hopefully my next update is to say the Oilers are taking a 3-1 series lead back to Disneyland! FUUUUCK!! 45 seconds and the Ducks score. 4-3 overtime win. Back to Disney we go all tied up. Off to my kip now.

All four games won by away team? Is that unusual?

Not unheard of but yes quite unuaual.Through the first 2 rounds the Ducks are undefeated away from home. They beat the Calgary Flames in 4 straight games in the first round. That is the main reason I picked them to win in 6. Series is now effectively a best 2 out of 3 games Squeeky bum time!!

I just discovered my age group! I am a Seenager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I don't have to go to school. I get an allowance every month. I have my own pad. I don't have a curfew. I have a driver's license and my own car. I have ID that gets me into everywhere. The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant, they aren’t scared of anything, they have been blessed to live this long, why be scared? And I don't have acne. Life is Good! Also, you will feel much more intelligent after reading this, if you are a Seenager. Brains of older people are slow because they know so much. People do not decline mentally with age, it just takes them longer to recall facts because they have more information in their brains. Scientists believe this also makes you hard of hearing as it puts pressure on your inner ear. Also, older people often go to another room to get something and when they get there, they stand there wondering what they came for. It is NOT a memory problem, it is nature's way of making older people do more exercise. SO THERE!! I have more friends I should send this to, but right now I can't remember their names.
So, please forward this to your friends; they may be my friends, too.

Game 5. First period ended up scoreless but it was not for the want of trying. More so by the Quackers. Oiler goalie Cam Talbot played very solidly and even faced a penalty shot from the hottest player in this series Ryan Getzlaf. Talbot stared him down and forced him to shoot the puck over the net keeping the game 0-0. The Oilers came out flying in the second period and scored on the first shift to make it 1-0. They followed that up with another 2 goals to go into the second intermission with a 3-0 lead. This sets up an interesting third period. By all accounts the score should mean the game is all over but the crying. But not against that team it isn't. Time to lock it down defensively for the third and go home with a chance to wrap it up. Hope my next update is a happy one!
Edit: 3-0 with 3:35 to go in the third and the Ducks pull the goalie and score to make it 3-1. A minute later they get the opportunity to pull the goalie again and score againt to make it 3-2. In the last minute they again pull the goalie and put the puck into the net after a mad scramble in front and after video review were awarded the equalizer even though video evidence clearly shows goalie interference. 3-3 going into overtime. Gut check time now!
Edit No. 2: Still 3-3 after first overtime period. Shots on goal 58-38 for Anaheim through 4 periods with a 5th to come. Both teams had opportunities to end it in overtime but failed to cash in. The Oilers had to kill a penalty at the 16 min mark of the overtime and obviously did so successfully. 15 min intermission then onto the second overtime period. It is already 12.20 am. Stay tuned!!
Edit No. 3: Ducks win 4-3 in second overtime. Heartbreaker for the Oilers but we get another crack at them on Sunday to tie the series up.

That means Hearts win on Sunday tho, and you've still got a chance of progressing next week. Win, Win!

No chance of progressing now k19. Our version of the GFA refs association (code named the "War room in Toronto" will make sure of that. They look at all the video and make decisions around controversial goals etc. They absolutely gassed it on the Ducks third goal that tied the game with 30 secs or so left. The Ducks had 2 guys committing offences on goalie Talbot at the same time. One pulling his right pad one way and the other pulling his left pad the other thereby impeding him from getting into position to try and make the save.During the regular season if a player thnks about touching the goalie the ref will call a goal back. During the playoffs , for some reason the rules "change". This is not a new thing though. It seems to have always been the case at this time of year. To the team's credit to a man they just "got on with it" and there was no whining about it. Not even the coaches were showing too much displeasure but I am sure they are raging. All that happens if you vent at the officials is you give them more excuse to penalise the team at the first vague opportunity. It would not be so bad but in game 4 there were 2 goals the Ducks scored that could and or should have been called back given the video evidence. If the correct decisions had been made this series would be over but they did not have the bottle to do it.

Game 6. Well! I take back my statement about no chance to advance. The Oilers are taking the decision away from the officials by skating the arse off the Ducks tonight. A 20 minute all out assault has seen them leading by 5 goals to 0. It has been magical stuff to watch from an Oiler fan's point of view. When they skate like this the Ducks cannot handle them. I still feel a 5-0 lead is not safe. I want more so as to if nothing else really rattle the Ducks confidence if it goes to a seventh and deciding game. Interesting stat: the last 3 times the Ducks have lead a series by 3 games to 2 they have ended up losing in seven. Here hoping that trend continues!! End of period updates to follow!
Edit 1: End of second and things settled down to a more sedate pace in that period. Oilers out score the Ducks 2-1 to take a 7-1 lead going into the third. I REALLY want to see double figures against that team tonight. Shove it right up their arses. second shelf on the left will do just fine!
Edit 2: Third period there was no scoring but a few message sending incidents took place . By message sending I mean a few shoving and pushing matches , mouthing off and stuff. Nothing too serious though . Teams do not want players suspended at this time of year. When you boil it all down tonight the Ducks had only one bad period and it cost them the game. I am sure that will be the hymn sheet they will be using in the dressing room after the game. I fully expect them to show up big time on Wed. night for game 7 in Anaheim. As I stated before , for the Oilers a first round win was a possibility. I expected them to not advance past the second round and they still may not , but the experience they have gained is invaluable going forward. I am trying to get some tickets for the Wed. night game and will travel up to Edmonton with my son Wed. afternoon. Watch the game on the big screen (60ft by35ft)along with 19,000 other raging fans and drive home the same night pumped full of adrenaline if they win. Probably get home about 2 or 3 in the morning (if there is no overtime). Load my car and start heading for San Francisco by 6 am. There is no sport anywhere that beats this for excitement and unpredictability lads. Unbelievable stuff!
