Not that many imo but Michael Smith is struggling pace wise, Grant has not impressed too much, Pollock needs game time, GMS is a a waste , Henderson does not cut it for me, we need a big forward (Nouble would be decent) and defo centre half, can’t afford to end up like we did and a few have been a bit injury prone

Pretty much agree with MTS with the exception of Connor Smith. I like Henderson but he probably needs to go get game at a smaller club and build his career there, but he is a good honest worker so I think he will be OK elsewhere. GMS has never cut it for me. I've always thought him a pretty boy player.
Michael Smith has been godlike for us but the end is approaching. Do we keep him as backup? We could do worse but he shouldn't be a regular starter next season, so either Atkinson steps up or we look elsewhere. I suspect though that MS may call it a day so we will need cover anyway
I've always rated Haring but is a bit injury prone so maybe time to go. Grant and Kio need to step up a notch, sometimes it's difficult coming into a new league so I will give them this season but they need to step up.
Id like to get Humphrys in on a perm deal. Gino is a total enigma. Flashes of brilliance mixed in with total failure. I've not made my mind up yet but more consistency is required. I think Boyce is perhaps near the end, not sure how old he is, maybe good back up for Humphrys

Hearts focus on transfer markets like Australia due to limited signing budget Future recruitment at Hearts will focus on middling football countries like Australia as the club continue to seek value for money in the transfer market. Manager Robbie Neilson admitted today that finances only stretch so far, ruling out moves for players from most major leagues.
Sporting director Joe Savage and head of recruitment Will Lancefield are working with Neilson to identify targets for the forthcoming January transfer window. They will again look at the Australian A-League after signing midfielder Cammy Devlin, plus defenders Nathaniel Atkinson and Kye Rowles over the last 15 months. All three are now part of the Socceroos squad at the World Cup in Qatar.
“Joe and I will sit down, Will as well, and have a look,” stated Neilson. “We’ve only got a limited budget so we can’t go to big nations in Europe, even the MLS is difficult for us now. We have to try and find these countries that have value for money and the good thing about the Australian market is that they all speak English. It’s a slightly different style of football, it’s different weather, but they’re athletic players.
“A lot of Australia boys want to play in Europe. It’s a big pull to come over here no matter what country it is. It is a market that more and more people are looking at. Hibs have got one or two, Dundee United have some, St Mirren as well.”
Having three World Cup representatives should help Hearts’ case in the coming weeks as they try to attract fresh talent. “Hearts should have international footballers and should be a pathway to get into international football,” Neilson pointed out. “We’ve managed to help get three guys to a World Cup and would like to get more guys into the Scotland squad and other nations. It shows the level the club is now competing at.”
The Australian triumvirate should return to Edinburgh buoyed after their involvement in Qatar. “I would like to think so, they will train with some good players and play against the best in the world. That experience and confidence boost is a part of it,” added Neilson.

While I really like all of our Aussies, would I like more? Not sure I would, but I do get looking at emerging markets find the talent to develop. I fear for our academy though. I'm not really getting the point in it. We aren't producing any major players

Atkinson out again, with Smith struggling and Atkinson on a run of injuries is another full/wing back needed.

I don’t think we can afford to carry that much cover, Neilson and Sibbick can both cover right back. If smith and Natty are out, If we need more than it should come from the academy, that’s what it is for. Full back is an area when a young player can slot in, much harder in central defence or midfield
Also if I’m doubt chuck Halliday in there, he won’t let us down.

After watching Rowles today against Tunisia we will be looking for a left sided CB in January or the Summer. Outstanding from the big guy.

I think Paterson is a perpetual rumour, which just goes round and round with very little basis in truth.
Im not sure what his role would be if he came back. He will be too expensive to be a backup option, so needs to start, but dont think he would get in ahead of Shankland or Humphries as a striker. Is he still an option as a fullback? He could potentially make a very good Centre Back, but would seem a big risk to brign him back to convert him away from the position he has been playing for a number of years.
