We need cover for Halkett. Rowles is great working off a strong centre half, but out on his own against Dundee utd and St Johnstone he struggled against Fletcher and May. Halkett would eat them both for breakfast and Rowles would tidy up the loose ends just nicely. Tony Has improved but looked nervous against Staints, he's never going to be a Halk's or an Elvis or Webster. We badly need a strong no nonsense Center half ready replacement for Craig.
Next has to be a runner and finisher. Someone who gets in behind the back line and wants to have a pop. Gino is doing ok but it's not his game, we need someone who's natural instink is so.
That's my opinion on priority buys. Been to most games recently and that's just my opinion on where we need to strength.

Surely a new centre half coming in, hate them but loan would seem the best option

If Gordon, Halkett, Beni and Boycie return to full fitness it will be like 4 new signings, Beni and Boycie hopefully back before next season, still think another forward option and right sided defender very important, Paterson and Oda as well, sounds like a big wish list, but with a few out might mean no need for our traditional major influx in the summer

We are going to need a major influx in the Summer if this season's European lessons are to be learned. Whether we need a major influx now to assure ourselves of 3rd place or the Cup Final for European football next season is the problem for RN and co to mull over. Knowing us, we'll bring in one guy with dodgy knees and he'll be injured first game on a plastic pitch leaving us back at square one.

Remember K19, Boyceie, Beni, Halkett (not all games)didn’t play in Europe neither did Snoddy or Zander so with 3 additions in the Jan window that would be 8 more available to the squad if we qualify for Europe again

And they were outclassed in Europe this year so we need better quality. Snodgrass will help but I reckon 2 or 3 new faces in January and half a dozen (minimum) in the Summer if we are competing in Europe. Fingers crossed the injured all get back to full ability of course.

A reminder that Snoddys contract is to the end of this season only. I'd offer him an extension right now.

Not that I'd imagine he will be being hunted by the uglies but we need him in a Hearts shirt! Edit - Banderson reporting he's signing an extension (good news if accurate).

And the blue clad Uglies would never go after him given his personal allegiances
